    Art from the Heart: Throughout November, Abbott Northwestern Hospital’s Institute for Health and Healing will present "Art From the Heart," an exhibit featuring the words and images of artists who used art to help them overcome physical and emotional challenges. The exhibit is part of the institute’s ongoing "Art of Healing" art show, which provides local artists the opportunity to showcase their health, healing and spirit-themed artwork in the institute’s outpatient center located at 2833 Chicago Ave. in Minneapolis.     A Spiritual Buffet: Theater to inspire all spiritual seekers, "The All You Can Eat Spiritual Buffet," will be performed by Carole Jean Anderson at 7:30 p.m. Friday through Sunday, Nov. 10-12, at Hennepin Avenue United Methodist Church, 511 Groveland Ave., Minneapolis. "Spiritual Buffet," part of the Sacred Journey Performance Series, is about a Methodist married to a Hindu who embarks upon a journey that the Minneapolis Star Tribune called "a funny, unabashed, unapologetically honest spiritual quest." Spiritual Buffet confronts religious bias in ways that has audiences both laughing and wincing in recognition. The show is written, directed and produced by Holly Davis.

    Mystical Visions Gala Fundraiser: The pilot episode of "Just Breathe – Part 1" will be presented from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, by Smokin’ Yogi Visions at Karma Nightclub, 315 1st Ave. N., in downtown Minneapolis. The event will include performance by "Ballet of the Dolls," Henna artists and Tarot readers, and Puff the Magic Dragon Den and Hooka Bar. The fundraiser will be a fun-filled journey into the Mystical Visions of Smokin’ Yogi Films.     World Voices: Conducted by internationally recognized Dr. Karle Erickson, the World Voices Ensemble begins its concert season with the rich variety of music from Scandinavian countries with two performances of "Voyaging With the Vikings" at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, and 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12, at Wayzata Community Church, 125 E. Wayzata Blvd., and its seventh annual "World Voices: Peace On Earth" at 7 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 9 at Central Lutheran Church, 333 S. 12th St., in downtown Minneapolis. The World Voices Ensemble enhances the awareness and deepen the meaning of the cultural, spiritual and religious roots of music from around the world, some of which are sung in native languages. The chorale has presented music from 67 countries and 35 languages in its 10-year history. "Voyaging with the Vikings" will include Norwegian folk tune "Killibukken," an Icelandic lament for women’s voices and oboe and the jubilant dance tune "Domaredansen." At its presentation of "Peace on Earth," World Voices will join with 375 singers from five children’s choirs as they lift up the hope for peace in the world.     Indigenous Voices: A world premiere of Falemalama: House of Understanding, the story of a Samoan woman’s journey to New Zealand in the 1970s, will be presented at 7:30 p.m. on November 16-18 by Pangea World Theater at Intermedia Arts, 2822 Lyndale Ave. S., Minneapolis. The Indigenous Voices Production presents an artistically powerful and inspiring performance by New Zealand playwright and artist Dianna Fuemana. Last year, Fuemena traveled with her previous play, Her Mother Dreaming, to Athens, Hawaii, Australia, and the Edinburgh Festival.     Teen power: The Children’s Theatre Company, the nation’s leading theater for young people and families and recipient of the 2003 Tony® Award for Outstanding Regional Theatre, presents Antigone through November 19 in the new theater space for teens, the Cargill Stage. Intended for audiences 13 and up, Antigone presents a battle over power. Two brothers fight on opposing sides. One is considered a hero, the other a traitor. Antigone is forbidden by decree to bury one of her brothers, so she must choose between denying her brother and defying her king. Cargill Stage is at 2400 Third Ave. S., Minneapolis.     The Peterson’s 20th Anniversary Holiday Concert: Usher in the holiday season with Minnesota’s first family of jazz – and also celebrate matriarch Jeanne Arland Peterson’s 85th birthday at 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30 and Saturday, Dec. 2, at the Hopkins Center for the Arts, 1111 Mainstreet in downtown Hopkins, Minn.
