What was the most sacred moment you have had in your life?
Dr. Rita Louise: It was many years ago and I was visiting a very close friend of mine. We spent the evening talking, doing Tarot reading for each other and repeating mantras. I can’t tell you when it happened or why it happened, but at one point in time during our evening "filled with spirit" it was as if the universe opened up to me.
It is so hard to describe this experience, because it is not something that happens to us all the time, but if I were to put words to it, it was as if my boundaries, the shell of my being, melted into the world around me. I felt like I could see in all directions at once. I could see the waves of my life force energy emanating from my body with each breath I took and watched as they merged with the vibrations of all that was around me. I could feel the plants in the room breathing, and with each exhale I could feel their breath as it touched my skin. Then, when I spoke out loud to my friend, I watched the pulsations of my words as they filled the room. I realized in that moment the effect my words could have on others and especially the impact of words based in anger or negativity.
It was a remarkable occurrence and one I have been blessed to have on more than this occasion. The opportunity to fully recognize our place in this universe and the energetic nature of our being is something everyone should have the chance to experience.
Why are you optimistic about the future of humanity in this time of uncertainty and fear?
RL: In recent years there has been much talk about the Laws of Attraction and the power of our intention to help manifest our wants, needs and desires into this physical reality. Thankfully, this information is now being heard by those who are often considered as being regular ordinary people, like your friends, family and neighbors and not just those who are "in the know."
It is through education and the unveiling of the universal principals that rule our 3D world that we as a people can choose where we are going. We can choose the path of destruction or we can choose to create a new world, one where mankind takes its next evolutionary step. Through this process of unfolding, millions are being exposed to spiritual principals that were often left hidden and unspoken. As these concepts resonate with our very being, it allows us to expand our knowledge of ourselves and the world in which we live. For the first time in thousands of years, we are rediscovering that we are spiritual beings living in a three dimensional world. And as a spiritual being we are not limited by time and space. We are also learning that we are in the driver’s seat and behind the wheel of our future.
As we begin to awaken to who we really are and begin to work with the unseen forces that fill our world, instead of walking around being subject to them we can now become active participants in our lives. We can choose to live in harmony with our world, or we can choose hate, greed, power and control. Transformation or annihilation. In the end, the choice is and always will be ours. I am optimistic mankind will choose wisely.
What holistic practice is a part of your life to help you maintain health and wellness and connect with your spiritual self?
RL: I am not sure if this would be considered a spiritual practice, but the principal by which I live my life is through the act of surrender. To me, this concept of surrender implies that we give up, that we relinquish control or power of the direction our life will take to a higher power. From a spiritual perspective, it implies that we move our ego to the side and allow spirit to work through us, thus manifesting a higher order here on earth.
What single message do you want to share with us from your heart?
RL: Life is too short not to live it. There are so many people who are afraid of what will happen in the days to come, be it 2012 or the war on terrorism. Regardless of what happens, maybe it is time for us to begin living our lives like tomorrow will be our last day here on earth. People diagnosed with fatal diseases always have a choice as to how they will spend their last hours on earth. They can lay victim to their disease and be controlled by their fears or live the time they have left on earth to its fullest.
