About The Author | Rick Hotton

Born in 1958, Rick Hotton has spent the majority of his adult life as a teacher. He is the owner and chief instructor of West Wind Karate Do, a traditional karate school that he established in Sarasota, Fla., in 1976. The Holy Molé cartoon began as a cathartic exercise to protest an overly manufactured world where profit margins take precedence over the intrinsic spirit of things.
