One of life’s greatest mysteries is our collective beginning and if we are on this journey of life alone in the world. Faith in a higher being may help us feel secure, and that there is a purpose to our lives, while science continues to try and make sense of it all. If you look closely though, there are clues that help piece together this magnificent puzzle.
A closer inspection of our planet reveals a great order in how the Earth lives out its own journey. The perfect change of seasons, the ocean tides, natural selection, the constant orbiting of the sun, and many other routine cycles we take for granted work together in perfect harmony. And, this continues year in and year out even with all the chaos created by the human race. In fact — even if we destroy ourselves – all this synchronization will remain the same as it has for a millennia.
Albert Einstein, one of the most scientific minds of the 20th century, staunchly believed there was truth to a creator that was beyond our reach or comprehension. He went on to say, “look deep into Nature, and then you will understand everything better.”
More recently, experiments in quantum physics are showing there is a world of unseen matter with intelligence. The specific area of research is in quantum mechanics, which is the science that focuses on the principles that explain the behavior of matter and its interaction with energy on the scale of atoms and subatomic particles. Seth Lloyd, MIT professor and quantum mechanics researcher, has dedicated his life to unlocking the secrets held within the universe. His studies have determined that the universe is a great quantum computer where atoms are constantly colliding with each other, sometimes at random and other times not. This great dance between particles in the cosmos, Lloyd explains, conveys not only energy but also information. In other words, particles not only collide, they compute.
But what is the entire universe computing, ultimately? “Its own dynamical evolution,” Lloyd says. “As the computation proceeds, reality unfolds.”
We have free will each day to make our own decisions. However, energy responds to our decisions, helping to form our reality. This is the magic of creation and the intelligence around us.
The molecules that form energy can also be observed in water and how emotions can literally change the form of water’s DNA. How can this be so unless there is another reality operating just out of our range of perception? This research with water can be found by the late Japanese researcher and author Dr. Masaru Emoto. He claimed that human consciousness and emotions have an effect on the molecular structure of water.
Dr. Emoto published a number of books on the subject of water and emotions, specifically The Hidden Messages in Water (2004). He discovered that exposing water to emotional thoughts, words and feelings changed the molecules and composition of what water looked like. He froze the water after exposing it to these emotions, and through high-speed photography, the crystals showed various formations depending on whether the thought was happy or a fearful emotion. A pleasant feeling resulted in beautiful symmetrically formed crystals, while nasty fearful thoughts resulted in malformed crystals that were not as pleasing to the eye. It seems intelligence beyond our range of perception is operating on a molecular level.
According to U.S. News & World Report, some of the top hospitals in the United States are embracing alternative healing methods for patients. Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago, one of the premier pediatric hospitals, is using Healing Touch along with traditional therapies being administered to patients. Holistic healing is a new trend in America, although many other countries, including Great Britain and other societies including Native Americans, have always felt there was a spiritual element to healing.
There are patients who respond to the healing touch of another person’s hand when Western medicine falls short. It is difficult to explain why this is so other than there is some sort of energy transfer, out of our range of perception, from the healer to the patient. Perhaps just enough that the patient’s own immune system takes over once it gets the energy boost it needs from this healing touch.
In all of these examples there is a common thread, an unseen intelligence that operates beyond our range of perception and an energy force that binds together all things great and small to support and help us along on our journey through life. One can only begin to wonder what other discoveries still await us.
