Massage school on MTV
An upcoming MTV program called "Made," which pairs a young person who has a desire to become something with a coach in the desired field of study, will feature a female high school senior from Irondale High School in Minnesota. For this episode, she needed to choose several careers she would be interested in pursuing in her lifetime. One of her career choices was to be "made" into a massage therapist, and she chose Minneapolis School of Massage & Bodywork Inc. because of its 31-year reputation and TV ads.

The show will air on MTV at 9 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, and it will be repeated 14 times on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

"Un-guru" Motwane coming to Cities
GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. – Known as the "un-guru" for his unique approach to dispensing spiritual wisdom, author Amman Motwane brings his practical philosophical teachings to the Twin Cities on Sunday, Nov. 13, at Unity Christ Church in Golden Valley.

Motwane counterbalances the gurus, talk show hosts and self-help authors who specialize in telling people exactly how to solve their problems. His focus, as documented in his best-selling book The Power of Wisdom, relies more on helping people discover how to think for themselves.

"Waking up to your own wisdom is a gift that lasts forever," Motwane said. "You can bring forth your inner knowing when you focus more on the right questions rather than the right answers. Rather than following someone else’s advice, you already possess every answer to life’s problems. Learning how to think for yourself begins with the realization of your own innate knowledge."

Motwane will present a special workshop, "When You Change How You See the World, Your Whole World Changes," from 1:30-4:30 p.m. on Nov. 13 at Unity Christ Church, 4000 Golden Valley Road in Golden Valley. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. He also is scheduled to speak at the church’s 9:15 and 11 a.m. services that Sunday.

Call (763) 521-4793 or visit the church website at www.unitychristchurch.org for further information.
