Cruise for spiritual movie lovers

The Spiritual Cinema Circle is offering its second annual floating film festival – the weeklong Spiritual Cinema Festival-at-Sea – in April for like-minded people from around the world to watch films about life, love, art and transcendence, and share a week of screenings, snorkeling and spiritual community building.

Departing from San Diego on April 22, movie lovers and like-minded seekers will sail the Mexican Riviera from through April 29 aboard Holland America’s luxury cruise liner, the M/S Oosterdam.

"There’s no better place than the limitless expanse of the vast Pacific to convene for this annual gathering of the Spiritual Cinema Community," said Executive Festival Director Stephen Simon, veteran producer of films like What Dreams May Come and Somewhere in Time. "The cruise is so much more than a vacation. It’s a time for us to connect, to explore and to celebrate the magic of Spiritual Cinema."

Last year’s special guest, Mark Vicente of What the BLEEP Do We Know!?, called the cruise the "Woodstock" of Spiritual Cinema. "Both filmmakers and movie-lovers were magnetically drawn to this gathering of the tribe," he said.

Bestselling author Neale Donald Walsch will join the festivities this year to premiere exclusive footage from the mystical new film based on his life, Conversations with God, directed and produced by Stephen Simon, starring Henry Czerny in the role of Neale.
