WAR NO MORE

    WAR NO MORE

    It’s a bit naïve
    to think
    war no more.
    Not in this world,
    at least.

    It’s a bit idealistic
    to think
    war no more.
Not with the way we handle
    our self.

    It’s a bit of a gamble
    to think
    war nor more.
Not for any money in the world
    would I bet on it.

    It’s a bit far fetched
    to think
    war no more.
    Not if history has anything
    to say about it.

Yet it is the one thing
I would choose over any other
    if I could.

    It is the one thing
I would impose upon the planet
if it were up to me who is free.

    It is the one thing
    I would really really really
    really really really yearn for
if I thought it would do any good.

    It is the one thing
    my aching soul tells me
    would make any god
    proud of his children.

    War no more.

    (sigh….)
