New organic cafe
WEST ST. PAUL, Minn. – Cafe Juliahna is a labor of love. Owner Sherry Asplund has combined her three passions – healthy organic food, organic fair trade specialty coffee (roasted on site) and beautiful spaces – into a cafe that is a portal into a healthy future.

Cafe Juliahna boasts a large, mostly vegetarian organic menu. It’s one of very few places in the Twin Cities offering a totally organic meal. Homemade soups, unique sandwiches, pesto wraps, rich salads, an organic bakery and a large breakfast menu are some of the options available. The cafe also has a menu devoted exclusively to freshly made juices to nourish, cleanse and heal the body.

Asplund’s background includes management at the Wedge Co-op in Minneapolis, where she says she learned about the importance of organic food for long-term and short-term health. "This experience of life in the physical world is nothing less than magnificent. Our spiritual selves touch the physical plane through our bodies and I believe the quality of that experience has a lot to do with what we choose to consume. Good health is our birthright and it’s been compromised by poor policy regarding the regulation of our food."

Cafe Juliahna is committed to sustainable practices. Solar panels are on the roof top, and the cafe uses compostable cups, environmentally friendly cleaning products and buy their products locally when possible.

Cafe Juliahna is located at 879 Smith Ave. in West. St. Paul. Take Kellogg in downtown St. Paul to Smith Avenue south over the High Bridge. The cafe is one mile down on the right side at Smith and Annapolis. Call 651.450.7070, email [email protected] or visit www.cafejuliahna.com.
