BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Our children are our teachers. The New Children – often described as Indigos, Crystals, Rainbows and others – are being born with awakened consciousness and awareness that earlier generations have not experienced so regularly as children. They are wise beyond their years, visionary in their thinking, more enlightened, intuitive, creative, psychic – and yet they also have their challenges of feeling frustrated with the “normal” world. Many of these children are mislabeled as ADD, ADHD, autistic or otherwise challenged, and adults are still learning how to encourage these children while on this journey called Earth and assist them in staying conscious of their divine gifts.
The Conscious Kids Expo, the first of its kind in the Midwest, will be an opportunity for the community to gather to celebrate the Children and to create new possibilities for their lives. It takes place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 18, at Ramada Mall of America, off I-494 and 24th Avenue in front of the Mall of America. Tickets are $5 and youths under age 18 are free.
The expo will feature a wide range of speakers on topics such as The Indigo Children, Parenting, Healing modalities to support the children, as well as a discussion panel of parents, teachers, kids and metaphysical practitioners to answer questions. Exhibitors will be presenting products and services to assist the New Children and their adults. The Expo will also feature a ‘Kid Center’ for interactive activities benefiting the mind, body and spirit of the New Children, including art, face painting, meditations, movement and more. It is presented by Whispers of Spirit, a quarterly publication and annual metaphysical expo, based in the Minneapolis-St Paul area.
Keynote speaker is Meg Blackburn Losey, Ph.D, a world-renowned author of the new book Conversations with the Children of Now, as well as The Children of Now: Crystalline Children, Indigo Children, Star Kids, Angels on Earth and The Phenomenon of Transitional Children. She has an online radio show called Continuum, broadcast from www.shirleymaclaine.com. She is a regular columnist in Mystic Pop Magazine and recently served as a consultant to Good Morning America. Keynote speaker tickets are $20 in advance or $25 cash only at the door. Children under the age of 18 are $2 in advance and at the door.
