ST. PAUL – The originator and heart of Svaroopa Yoga, Rama Berch is coming to the Twin Cities to lead a weekend intensive entitled “Merging Head and Heart.” Rama teaches Yoga according to the ancient tradition – as a direct path to svaroopa – the bliss of your own being. She communicates with the great insight and compassion, weaving ancient wisdom with a concrete understanding of modern life. Go to www.masteryoga.org for more about Svaroopa Yoga. Rama is the founder of Master Yoga Foundation and served as the founding president of Yoga Alliance. She travels extensively to teach internationally, passing on the extraordinary gifts she has received and guiding others to discover their own inner vastness.
Rama will lead you through ancient teachings on the true nature of your heart, mind, and emotions. You will experience how core opening – the essence of Svaroopa Yoga – transforms your body and will clear away the emotional issues that affect how you handle your life, your ability to see clearly, the way you plan and make decisions, and your ability to experience joy. These classes are guaranteed to give you an immediate and significant change in your body, while offering you much more. Rama will use the Svaroopa Yoga poses to open up your body and breath, as well as the deeper dimensions of your own being. This program is not all asana (poses). Anatomy, philosophy and discussion are included.
“Merging Head and Heart” will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 7, and Sunday, June 8, with a two-hour lunch break at Highland Yoga Center, 1040 Cleveland Ave. S., in St. Paul. The cost is $350, and participants may pay a $50 deposit to reserve a spot. Visit www.highlandyogacenter.com.
