Grief, Loss Workshop Supports Release Of Distressful Feelings
Aslan Institute in Eagan and The Marsh in Minnetonka will host daylong workshops on April 4-5 on grief and loss, co-facilitated by Laurie Ellis Young and Heather Reade, two compassionate healers who help participants work through their sadness, loss and grief. Participants will learn a short series of gentle, yet powerful exercises â€“ utilizing breathwork, Qigong, Tai Chi and Acupressure techniques â€“ to foster a sense of emotional and physical balance. Laurie Ellis Young has traveled the world helping people overcome grief through breathwork. Heather Reade is founder of Full Circle Tai Chi and an instructor of Tai Chi and Chinese Medicine at The Marsh. Monastic outreach in Cities
The Minneapolis Meditation Group will host its first ever Monastic Outreach visit from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, May 16, at its Minneapolis temple, 112 W. 43rd St.. The Minneapolis Meditation Group is affiliated with Self-Realization Fellowship, a worldwide non-profit religious organization founded in 1920 by Paramahansa Yogananda, author of Autobiography of a Yogi. Monastics from SRF headquarters in Los Angeles will introduce the general public to the principles and practice of meditation. Those interested may sign up for more extensive lessons.
