Love A Lot Preschool, a Waldorf-inspired school set in a beautiful wooded area with forest and lakes in Chanhassen, MN, has officially opened it’s doors to children for a summer of exciting experiences.
Instead of experiencing learning as a passive, linear chore, Love A Lot expresses the importance of learning as a celebration, gift giving and reverence. Children care for plants, draw their own experiences in books, perform fun puppet shows in loving themes, and have fun making gifts such as: painting pictures and fashioning toys, measuring ingredients for cooking and ceramics, and having joyful music and dance lessons. Fun experiences are assisted by the school’s head teacher, an Early Childhood certified teacher and multiple artist.
The school was built around the idea that young children thrive in a natural, loving home-like atmosphere with light-filled spaces, soft silks, natural non-toxic materials, organic food and the beauty of nature. Sounds like alot of fun for the preschooler children. Out in nature and expressing themselves in so many creative ways! Anything to keep them from sitting in front of a TV screen for hours on end.
