Acid Reflux / Ulcers from a Spiritual standpoint

Every great healer — like Osho, Buddha and even Jesus — has stated that all disease comes from or manifests from a dysfunction or distortion within the spiritual state of the individual. It stands to reason that to truly fix it, you must resolve the spiritual state of the individual.

Acid reflux and ulcers are no exception. A wide range of pharmaceutical drugs are available on the market to treat these conditions — Dexilant, Nexium, Prevacid, Zantac, Aciphex, Pepcid, Prilosec, Carafate and the list goes on — but these drugs only treat the physical symptoms for the spiritual causality. From what clients and friends have told me, these drugs only offer temporary relief to symptoms, and often they cause other issues.

What is this “spiritual” reasoning, or causality, behind Acid reflux and ulcers? It all boils down to conflict.

Conflict is much more than just two or more people fighting. From a holistic standpoint, the stomach energy is what gives the energy to process, or digest, the conflicts within our life. It is believed that without the energy to process conflict, a backlog is created through all the systems that eventually filters into the denser, gross matter — the body — causing a physical manifestation of this spiritual disorientation and, in the beginning stages, we see things like acid reflux, ulcers and constipation (not being able to let go).

Eventually, it is believed that longstanding conflicts will manifest into more serious disorders and diseases, like cancer or HIV/AIDS. And while those conditions have been manifesting, the body (and mind and spirit) have been telling you for a very long time beforehand that something was not right.

The physical pains caused by these conflicts, according to German physician Dr. Reinhold Voll, are the cellular response that says it doesn’t have enough energy to accomplish the task(s) ahead.

How do I process these spiritual conflicts? How do I work with something I can’t touch or feel? Do I just need to talk it out? Maybe throw some plates? Am I doomed?

Let’s answer these in reverse order: No, you’re not doomed. Will throwing plates help? Maybe. Will talk therapy help?
