The fifth Midwest Shamanic Gathering will take place September 3-5 in the serene, natural environment at Beaver Creek Reserve in Fall Creek, WI, featuring traditional teachings and ceremony led by powerful teachers and native leaders who will present a blend of lectures, experiential ceremonies and healing sessions.
Chief Valerio (Freddy) Cohaila returns to the event to present and carry the vision of the native prophesies of the eagle and condor. Dan Hull, an Annishinaabe drum chief and teacher, also returns to the Gathering. New to the Gathering this year is Ed McGaa, Teton Oglala teacher and author of 10 books about native culture, and anthropologist and Cree teacher Jody Ground. Coming from Africa, Oromo spiritual elder Abba Liban Dabassah Guyo offers a rare look at a native culture from halfway around the world. Other teachers will include Navajo Chief and former Native American Church Head Emerson Jackson and one of the 13 Grandmothers.
The event is open to everyone interested in indigenous culture, healing and ceremony. For reservations or information, call 612.803.6918, email [email protected] and visit www.MidwestShamanicGathering.com.
