Dr. Rachel Fleissner

A nationally recognized expert and presenter on child, adolescent and adult psychiatry, Dr. Rachel Fleissner of Fargo, ND, is one of only a few psychiatrists in the nation who also is trained in hypnosis and neurotherapy. She believes in a holistic approach to mental health, for people of all ages.

Dr. Fleissner also is the only psychiatrist in North Dakota who is trained to treat depression with Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), an FDA approved, non-medication treatment that helps patients who have previously suffered side effects or no benefit from at least one antidepressant. TMS delivers highly focused magnetic pulses to stimulate the left side of the brain in the specific area known to be affected by depression. Patients treated by TMS remain awake, alert and return to work or their daily activities after each treatment.

Her philosophy is as follows:

  • Each person is unique and those differences do not constitute illnesses.
  • Parents often need to interpret the way their child sees the world to others. Dr. Fleissner teaches parents how to be their child’s interpreter.
  • The strength in each person lies in their ability to harness the power of their brain.
  • Dr. Rachel uses interpersonal, cognitive behavioral/mindfulness therapy, neurofeedback, hypnosis and TMS, as well as medications, to achieve each individual’s potential.

She supports the use of neurofeedback / biofeedback because it enables an individual to learn how to change physiological activity for the purposes of improving health and performance. This cutting-edge therapy has been shown to be an effective therapy technique for treating many emotional and behavioral problems, including Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, anxiety, depression and learning disabilities, for all age groups from children to adults.

Dr. Fleissner offers mood regulation and impulse control groups for adolescent and teenage boys, and she offers an educational and experiential approach to enhance judgment and critical thinking skills to promote wise and healthy choices for teenage girls. She works with her patients and their families to make sure that everyone accomplishes the happiness they deserve.

Dr. Rachel Fleissner is located at 2902 University Dr., Fargo, ND 58103. Contact her at 701.364.9723 or 701.630.1351 or visit www.MyDrRachel.com.

  1. You know Dr. Rachel these are really not new techniques or cutting edge. Human’s as a whole are slow learners and do not fully understand what they are dealing with….nor have those so called professions who have treated them.

It all gets back to energy….energy…..energy….energy! Everything is energy…..every thought, action, choice, reaction…etc. The problem really stems from not understanding how energy works on the human body and how energy works or reacts as a catalyst for the human body or our DNA Energy Body!!

What, you have heard of the DNA of the human body, but not about the DNA of the human Energy Body? Is it possible the human body has 2 DNA patterns? Yes it is! They are aligned but different!

When you begin to understand the Physical DNA and the Energy DNA…..then You will BE cutting edge!! So some degree you are working with both of them already, you just have not recognized the act and react differently!! Thanks!

    Sincerely!!
    Rick
