August should offer something of a respite from the intense energies of 2012. It’s time to recharge our batteries and prepare for the final chapter of this transformational year.
Aries (Mar. 21-Apr. 19)…If you feel like you’re waging a one-woman war against injustice, take a step back and ask yourself where the fun went. Yes, your cause is probably just, but fighting fire with fire leaves everything burnt to the ground. You didn’t come here to put all the killjoys in their place; you came here to find your own joy.
Taurus (Apr. 20-May 20)…Put some energy into noticing how most of your so-called problems seem to grow from the same root. The picture this month is clear: the money is there for you and so is the success, but to get to them, you have to find a way under, around, over or through the wall of your family karma. Stop making the same mistakes mom and dad made, and you’ll be well on your way.
Gemini (May 21-June 20)…You may not notice it immediately, but the landscape of your mind has shifted. You are starting to see opportunity where before you saw only uncertainty. Rather than cursing your short attention span, you are recognizing how refreshing it feels to shift focus and follow your curiosity. Consciously tune into this new way of seeing; dropping your self-imposed blinders opens your eyes to abundance.
Cancer (June 21-July 22)…Take your time with the money thing, because you need to understand what isn’t working before you can move on to what will work. Once Mercury goes direct on the 8th, insights and clarity start to trickle in. The New Moon on the 17th may ask you to let go of a client or source of income that really isn’t cutting it for you anyway. Doing this opens you to a more abundant source.
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)…Believe it or not, you can afford to take it slow this month. You are redefining who you are and nothing is more important than that. As Mercury goes direct in your sign on the 8th you start getting clearer about what this new you looks like. Expect your relationships to shift accordingly and do your part by practicing compassionate honesty.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)…Some things that you’ve repressed or hidden from view start popping to the surface this month. This may feel quite unpleasant at times but once Mercury goes direct on the 8th you start to see just how much your life could bloom if you freed yourself from these old burdens. A friend or colleague can help you get clear on the best way to do this important work.
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)…You may have more energy than you know what to do with this month. Instead of putting it at the service of someone else or trying to make another conform to your way of thinking, use it to explore what you really want to do with the next ten years of your life. You have the chance to jump into a more fulfilling path.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)…This could be a “lost” month if you’re not attentive. Mercury in your career house pushes you to let go of ambitions that no longer serve you. Meanwhile, Mars in your 12th House is showing you how and why you sabotage your own success. This isn’t fun astrology, but it can be highly productive if you’re willing to look within for the answers.
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)…You’re trying to understand who or what in your life is worthy of your devotion. You might find yourself divided on that question, but it’s not necessarily about choosing one over the other. It’s more a matter of tuning in to what you really long to do and committing your energy to those worthy causes.
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)…While the rest of the Northern Hemisphere slows down and disconnects, you seem to be working furiously toward an important goal or deadline. You only get energy planet Mars in your career house for a few weeks every couple years, so stick to your plan and make hay while the sun shines.
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)…Pattern recognition is the key this month, especially where relationships are concerned. Not just your love life — although you’ll have plenty of opportunity for self-study there — but the way you interact with everyone you encounter. Your soul needs you to be you, and not just a socially acceptable, watered-down version of your true self. Find your tribe!
Pisces (Feb. 19-Mar. 20)…Your financial well-being is largely a function of your ability to set healthy boundaries and master the balance of giving and receiving. Money is just a form that energy takes in our world, and if you’re bleeding energy, how can you expect to have the money you need? Get serious about defining what you need and then start plugging those energetic leaks.
