How I Stay Connected to the Light

As a person with undiagnosed ADHD, I find it challenging to do a daily meditation chanting practice. So I have found some simpler ways to stay connected to the Light.

While driving alone I chant, “Oh mani padme ohm,” or I sing “The Light of Love,” a song I received in the king’s chamber of the Great Pyramid 23 years ago. If there is time, I speak The Great Invocation.

The Light of Love
by Carol McCormick

(Sung to the Tune of “The River She is Flowing”)

The light of love is glowing
Glowing and growing.
The light of love is glowing
Deep in my soul.
Gently will I walk the earth
Seeking, speaking peace to birth
Gently will I walk the earth
Deep in my soul.

The Great Invocation given to Humanity
through the Master Djwahl Kuhl

From the point of light within the mind of God,
Let light stream forth into the minds of men.
Let light descend on earth.
From the point of love within the heart of God,
Let love stream forth into the hearts of men.
May Christ Return to Earth.
From the center where the will of God is known,
Let purpose guide the little wills of men,
The purpose that the masters know, and serve.
From the center which we call the race of men,
Let the plan of love and light work out.
And may it seal the door where evil dwells.
Let light and love and power restore the plan on earth.

While walking, I chant the Buddhist Mantra of Light in Sanskrit. As I chant each word, I see light entering each of my chakras, beginning with the crown: Om amogha vairocana mahamudra mani padma jvala pravarttaya hum. The English translation: Praise be to the unfailing, all-pervasive illumination of the great mudra (or seal of the Buddha), the jewel, the lotus, and the radiant light existing in our world.

When weather and time permits, I garden and walk to connect to the energy of Earth and feel gratitude for the beauty of our planet.

When I go to bed at night, after praying I recite “O Birther,” which is a translation of The Lord’s Prayer from Aramaic by Neil Douglas Klotz published in his book Prayers of the Cosmos. If I wake up during the night and don’t go back to sleep right away, I recite “O Birther” over and over again.

On Saturday, Oct. 25, Carol will share stories and psychic readings at the the Moonlight and Magic Expo. Go to www.facebook.com/EnlightenedGuidance for details.
