Love Your Organs, Love Yourself is the title of a soon-to-be-released natural health book by Warren King, L.Ac., a seasoned natural medicine practitioner and advocate practicing in Minnetonka, Minn. Understanding the language that your body speaks is important so you can make sense of its symptoms. That is its empowering message.
Written from the millennial vantage point of Oriental Medicine, the book is designed for the lay reader and teaches:
- How each element is out-pictured in your body and organs;
- How nutrition impacts your organs, with recommendations for specific nourishing foods, herbs and cooking styles;
- How emotions are directly affected by the organs.
Each book also includes accessible and easy to read explanations of the 5 elements, Chinese medicine, Yin and Yang and more.
“It’s important to make the connection between the body’s symptoms and any organ imbalance that may be responsible for the issue,” the author says. “Who would think that an occipital headache, hip pain or feeling of chronic frustration could be due to a gallbladder imbalance? My intention in writing this book is to help people learn what their organs actually do and how to bring them to a greater state of balance and health via tools like foods and herbs, acupressure and qi gong.”
Warren King has practiced Oriental Medicine for more than 25 years, and in that span of time has worked with approximately 10,000 patients. He studied at the New England School of Acupuncture, the Kushi Institute in Boston and the Midwest Center of Oriental Medicine in Chicago. In addition to acupuncture, Warren offers related holistic treatments including auricular medicine, homeopathy and Quantum Neuro Reset Therapy (QNRT).
