Letter to the Editor

letter-wide
Dear Editor,

I was so pleased to read Lynn Woodland’s “The Tipping Point – Why it’s Important to Tune Back in to Politics” in the January 2016 issue, in which she urged all of us to engage in the process of electing political leaders. (At the very least, get informed on issues and candidates, and vote!)

Who better to help transform the national agenda than people whose intention is to act from and through their highest selves? How can we apply our own integrity towards enhancing the integrity of the nation/world?

If we need guidance on how to remain on a spiritual path while at the same time engaging with the nitty-gritty of the political arena, we can also consult the work of those who’ve done so quite successfully, for example, Mahatma Gandhi, or currently, the Dalai Lama. — Lisa Wersal, Vadnais Heights, MN
