We all know how to breathe and how to love, but do we know how to have that love heal you? Breathing allows your body to flow air in and circulate that air through your body to keep your cells healthy. Love is so many things. Most of us think of love as being something you give, but it’s so much more than that.
Love is healing. It is a deep connection with one’s soul that wraps love around you. It not only wraps around you, it swirls around you in ever-constant motion, lifting you higher and higher into levels of happiness. It soars like the eagles; majestic and strong; it sparkles, pops and glows — and it leaves a smile on your face from the inside out. It allows us to reach inside and let that love flow so we can wrap ourselves in love and send that love out to others. In order to love, one must know how to breathe that love.
So how do you breathe love? Well, let’s get started so we can let the love flow, so we can love a little more in this world. Everybody wants to love and be loved. It’s a natural human instinct to want to be loved. But first, let’s relax and learn how to find that love, how to feel that love, how to be comfortable with that love, how to receive and then send that love out into this world. All you need is your love and imagination.
Finding balance
Let’s get in a comfy position. You can sit, stand up, lay down, twirl around like a ballerina; just be comfy. We can come back and close our eyes and repeat this as often as you like. First, read through this entire meditation. Let’s close our eyes and breathe slowly and deeply to the count of 1, 2, 3, now hold 1, 2, 3, relax and exhale 3, 2, 1 and repeat. Yawning is OK, for it means you are getting comfortable. Your body is adjusting, so go with the flow it takes you on. If you fall asleep, that is OK too, for it is your body’s way of saying it’s tired and it wants to flow on a deeper level while you sleep. Just relax and go with the flow.
Color of love
Now concentrate on your heart, the central organ that pumps blood through our bodies. The heart also beats in vibration of love that calms and stills the body. Imagine you can see the vibration of love coursing through your veins as it flows throughout your body. Now imagine love is a color. Love can be any color you choose. Green is a healing love, blue is an expressive and playful love, purple is a divine love of protection, pink is a romantic love, white is a pure love, yellow is a love of friendship and rainbow is a combination of love.
Now see that vibration expand to your breath and see the love grow and multiply and fill your entire body — and as it fills your body, it fills your breath, and as you breathe the love courses through your veins filling you with love. There is so much love that it surrounds the air that surrounds you. Love is flowing all around you. It wraps around and fills the entire space around you.
Love Hugs
You are feeling warm and protected in this love. Bring your hands together and up to your heart and feel the vibrations expand and extend. It wraps you in a loving hug, not just a quick nice to meet you hug but a deep welcoming hug that nourishes and connects with your soul. It’s the kind of hug that says, “I missed you, you’re awesome, I can’t wait to hug you again and again.” Did you know that hugs are healing? They are. The longer the hug the more endorphins it produces in your body. Endorphins heal you inside out. Just like love. Feel the love hug you with every breath and hold you as long as you like. Feel the love until it makes you smile. Smile as long as you like, for there are no limits to love or smiles.
Now that you know how to breathe love, you have felt that love to be comfortable with love, you can receive healing love anytime you want. You can also come from this place of love when sending love out into the world to others. So the next time you breathe, know that it heals, it grows, it flows love — inside of you and out into the world.
