Miracles Happen

It had been a week with a few rough spots, and we decided to relax and go out for an early dinner. We went to a local restaurant close to our house. It is a busy restaurant so we went early to avoid the crowd. We had a nice salad and then went home to watch “American’s Got Talent.”

As I was watching, I reached up to push my hair back and found that I was missing my right hearing aide. I thought that it probably fell off in the car as I took off my dark glasses. I went out and looked carefully under the seats and around the car, but could not find it. So, I began searching the house. It was nowhere to be found. I decided to call the restaurant manager to see if it had been found there. He looked and came back to tell me that it was nowhere to be seen. It was time to tell my husband!

He immediately began the same search that I had done…this time with a flashlight. It was not anywhere that he looked. That meant $2,500 to replace the one aide!

When I went to bed I prayed to my angels and said, “I know you know right where this hearing aide is hiding. I would be so grateful if you could let me know where to look. I will be listening for any clues you can give me, and I thank you for your help.”

We went to bed and slept all night. I don’t remember my dreams on a regular basis, but my husband remembers several each night. When he woke up he said, “I had the funniest dream. I saw the hearing aide lying on the sidewalk right by the front door of the restaurant. I just went right over and picked it up.”

We were going out for a doctor appointment early that morning and then to check on getting a new hearing aide, so we decided to drive by the restaurant. He drove up to the front door and I got out. As I walked up to the front door I could see the hearing aide lying on the sidewalk. I reached down and picked it up.

My husband said “That’s exactly the spot where I found it in my dream!”

We were both filled with joy and amazement. Not just because we had found the hearing aide, but at the miraculous way the angels had helped us. They knew I would not remember a dream, but my husband would…so they used him. I praised and thanked the angels all day. I was filled with amazement!

Don’t you think this was a wonderful story of the miraculous?
