A great number of us carry the vision of a better world, one that is pulsating with life, love and beautiful, uplifting creations that inspire us to reach even more of our collective potential. Nurturing these seeds of a brighter future into strong and vibrant flowers and trees takes some patience and persistence.
It is helpful to reiterate the principles upon which such dreams might be built so they become full-fledged castles and playgrounds, bursting with the potency of Divine intent.
The following are three steps to help us grow the sacred garden of positive co-creations:
• Nurturing our Gifts to Be a Divine Channel — We each carry a potential that is expressed through all our innate abilities. Very often, these talents are suppressed and hidden not only from the world, but from ourselves. Yet, how can we truly allow ourselves to be an instrument of positive energies if we do not surrender to all that we can be? The secret here is to do this with the intent of using one’s gifts in higher service to a cause beyond oneself. As Pablo Picasso stated, “The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away.”
• Mutual Appreciation in the Gardens of New Life — An elevated world, in which each person is groomed in the expression of his/her natural gifts, is possible when anchored in the expansive joy of the heart. If we truly held each other in the light of all that each of us can be, then we can hold space for a society in which co-creation is the order of the day. In the words of Goethe, “If you treat an individual as he is, he will remain how he is. But if you treat him as if he were what he ought to be and could be, he will become what he ought to and could be.” This sounds simple, and it can be if we held first and foremost to our collective dreams and put aside our individual differences and insecurities. This is where we can walk the talk of the world we envision by lifting up the other as a reflection of oneself.
• Receiving Support to give our Creations Wings to Fly — New growth needs proper care to flourish: the embrace of the four elements through adequate nutrition, the life-giving properties of water, sunlight and air, that are linked together by unconditional love. Likewise, co-creators must allow themselves the support needed to birth their babies into life. This can include self-care, but also opening the space around them for collaboration with others on a similar mission. Since we have moved collectively from community to more independent living, receiving support often requires extra thought. It can be helpful to remember the words of Ram Dass: “We are all just walking each other home.”
We have within us the ability to realize the world of our collective dream, if even by taking one small step in the right direction. This can involve discovering more about ourselves and our potential, holding space for the positive creations of all and being receptive to receiving what is needed to set our creations free. Still, stepping on the GAS (gifts, appreciation, support) of all three of the above can yield spectacular results if we were to do this together. Warning: utopia incoming
