Tarot from Conscience (or the Traveling Moth)
A space for tarot reflection for the day, week, or moment it comes across your screen. Each of these is reworked intentionally for The Edge, from the egregore of GroupTarot’s Card of the Week, to center education, diversity, and intuition.

This week desires ease, so we’re shifting to an Oracle deck – most of the time cards chosen will stick with Tarot. Every now and again I’ll change it up with different Oracle cards. I have a few decks I LOVE. In part because I know the creators and they are amazing people.
Would y’all like a column on the differences and similarities between Tarot and Oracle cards? Let us know in the comments below.
Appropriately, Sovereignty comes from The Sovereign Oracle by Theresa Pridemore.
Be the ruler of your domain. Yes!
Wear your crown with pride; you’ve earned it. Yes!!! Let you spectacular light shine!!!
Shine on!!!
Stand in your power and your inherent deservingness.
Oooof. That’s a biggie for me. Being socialized female in the US and being a queer witch – even though I have many passing privileges – I still have almost 41 years of being seeped in the kool-aid of cis white male hetero patriarchal hierarchical capitalism which explicitly and subversively tells everyone who identifies differently that we’re less than.
Of course, this is a lie and one I have done a lot of work to root out and compost to create a different b.e.s.t. (beautiful, equitable, sustainable, timely) world.
And still, as a nice white lady, it’s a paradox of sorts, a Two of Pentacles juggling act, to both stand in my power and inherent deservingness while simultaneously making sure I reach a hand and open a door for others – especially Black, Brown, Black Indigenous, Indigenous, People of Color, Asian, and Latin folks. Did I remember everyone? It’s work and awareness and regular reflection to figure out how to shine my light on other’s light, accomplishments, and needs consensually. So it’s not about us dimming our light for others, nor stealing the spotlight, but about our shared place in the night sky.
We create constellations together dancing our celestial dances, in our own orbits with our own light year distances, sometimes knowing – sometimes not knowing – how our light affects others.
And maybe, just maybe, by claiming and accepting our own power, we’ll start to see and revel in similar power mirrored in others.
For power is not a finite resource.
It is an infinite resource.
