New Aries Moon

1268

We begin life in Capricorn season. The shell of our seed cracks open in the cold dark Earth and the Intention of Creation becomes incarnate. We think of the moment the seedling pops out of the Earth as the beginning but before the cotyledons open to the Sun, that seedling has been busy establishing a hold in the Earth. Winter Solstice is the beginning of the cycle. Aries is that part of the circle where the developing seedling climbs out of the relative safety of the Earth to engage with the outer world.

Here we find wind and rain and cute but ravenous little bunnies who want to devour us. Our stem must strengthen in the wind and rain as we reach upward toward the Sun and against the relentless pull of gravity. We must have adequate defenses to protect us from the cute little bunnies. We must have an intention which empowers us to stretch to that Sun, that Light, that 93 million mile away inspiration, in direct opposition to the pull of gravity which wants to bring us down, make us smaller, and keep us comfy in our cave.

Welcome to our New Aries Moon exact at 1:24 am on April 1st . We are at that part in our seasonal cycle wherein we are like that seedling. Having emerged from winter’s hibernation and root building we are energized to engage the big scary world. And make no mistake, this world it treacherous. At any moment we can be gobbled up by mortgage payments or global unrest, financial market turmoil or energy prices skyrocketing. All it takes is one unhappy individual in a relative position of power to choose to turn that power into control, domination, or revenge to make all of the seedlings in the field become metaphorically sprayed with herbicide; just because they like it that way.

So we must fight. Not out of revenge, or aggression, or dominance. The fight isn’t for control over another or control over our environment. The fight is not for hurting or disabling or eradicating an opponent. The fight is within. Can we stay strong and centered in our growth so as to keep our stem strong and flexible in any weather? Can we fight the relentless pull of wanting to cower or hide and continue our stretching toward the Sun? Can we love ourselves so impeccably that we radiate a power that is impenetrable to any attack from another’s opinions, projections, or dramas?

Now is the time to become resolute in our own unique and authentic intentions for existing. We are here. We are incarnate. With all going on, are we really here to acquire another jet ski? Is there a purpose, a deeper purpose, a richer and more meaningful purpose to our existence? If we can open to that, we can use that vision to empower our choices and our actions.

We can use our Life’s Purpose as fuel to our rocket engines as we grow powerfully into our world. We claim our space, say yes to life, and advance confidently in the direction of our dreams becoming manifest. We say ‘enough!’ to all of the superfluities which distract us and obfuscate our clarity of direction.

Now is the time to use our sword of intention to cut off any tentacles from that which may be dragging us down. We stand upright in our power and lovingly feed ourselves what we know we need to keep us going through our continuing growth. Then, in this powerful self love, we become an inspiration for those who still need encouragement. As the Director and Producer of the movie of our lives, we make conscious choices regarding set and scene, casting and soundtrack. If we have enough courage, we can create Heaven on Earth.

I know it’s scary. I know that aggression and anger want to make us hide. I know war is hell and that there are a lot of scared, mean people in the world wanting to devour the apparently weaker. I know many reading this have been burned at the stake, obliterated on the battlefield, or gone down with the ship in past lives. But that is not now. We are not weak. Every forest starts as a seed. Every giant Sunflower begins as a tiny, fragile seedling. The forests of the future are in your hands. We can create the world’s most beautiful gardens in a relatively short time. All we have to do is plant the seed and lovingly tend them. What are you planting? Now is the time.
