Starcodes week of March 25-31, 2022

Feel that spark of life force as thoughtful Mercury joins the sun in rambunctious Aries on Sunday and brings our mind to all things fiery and renewing. Spring cleaning begins within and without, it’s time to clear the decks of the winter’s dross, clear our minds and our closets and define our goals so we can use this energy wisely. We can use this time to prepare for the new Moon in Aries a week from this Friday, which is a true initiation of the new year ahead.

The old military phrase caution about the “ready, fire, aim” mentality, which is such a good description of the shadow side of Aries, reminds us to aim carefully before we release our arrow, to focus our intention before we speak before we act, before we initiate. Let’s use this fiery energy to begin good things. This Aries lineup can also lower impulse control and increases our enthusiasm, reflexes, and temper. While this temper is more direct than Machiavellian, it can add fuel to all the fires heating up around the globe.

Do not bring the front lines home. Instead, exercise some extra care, exercise the body, work out or move rocks, to let off some steam if it starts to heat up on the home front. We do not have to be Aries ram clashing head on, we can instead climb great mountains. Use this fiery energy just to come back alive after a long winter or to help initiate a new phase or start giant projects. Aries likes to think big.

This Aries lineup, along with Venus and Mars running conjunct in collaborative Aquarius can also set off more delicious longing sparks of spring fever.  That Venus-Mars Aquarian conjunction can help us work together as a team and help NATO coordinate its efforts.  Working with groups furthers, we can instigate new relationships as we get involved with our community, engage our circles and organizations to further that which matters to us.

The weekend begins with the Sun in Aries and Moon in competent, determined Capricorn, and Mercury in sensitive Pisces, and this combination loans us empathy to guide the competence, though some will refuse that empathy and just barrel straight ahead.

Mercury enters Aries on Sunday under an Aquarius Moon, speeds up our thinking and asks us contemplate responsibility, meditate on what is our job and what isn’t our job.

A sensitive Pisces Moon on late on Monday through early Thursday can leave us both emotionally brave yet dealing with our fears and concerns. We may want to be Superman but can feel our self-doubts whispering underneath and may just want to change the subject. It’s good to use the sensitivity to notice what unfinished emotional business we have, what needs to be cleared, aired, or accepted.

Thursday is more action oriented as the Moon heads into feisty Aries, a time to prepare the ground, move the boulders, and make clear decisions to launch on next Friday’s new Moon in Aries.

Friday, March 25: On this highly competent day let empathy and compassion be the guide for the work as the Capricorn Moon squares Chiron and trines Uranus midday. Nerves wind up, tech develops poltergeists, and we could feel overextended, as if we’ve just been doing too much, as Mercury semi-square Uranus. Be wary of sudden snap decisions made in reaction but listen for any bursts of inspiration. Rest those nerves tonight.

Moon trine Uranus 1:15 PM, Mercury semi-square Uranus 7:25 PM.

Saturday, March 26: A deep day for good strong conversations, for climbing mountains and attacking projects as Mercury sextiles Pluto and the Moon conjuncts Pluto midday. Get real, as we can either go deep or get depressed. Take seriously unusual questions about bringing something to completion or stepping forward on a new path. Sidestep rather than confront manipulative energy. Around dinnertime the Moon enters sociable Aquarius and now the conversation matters more than the goal.

Moon sextile Jupiter 1:48 AM, Mercury sextile Pluto 4:34 AM, Moon sextile Neptune 7:36 AM, Moon conjunct Pluto 4:03 PM, Moon sextile Mercury 5:50 PM, Moon enters Aquarius 6:55 PM.

Sunday, March 27: Mental Mercury enters Aries and lowers our impulse control, speeds up our reaction time, and lowers our filter so the wildest things can be said. Watch for minor accidents, explosions and flares of temper towards the evening as Mercury semi-squares Mars and the Moon conjuncts Mars. Walk away from unnecessary fights and find something healthy and fascinating to engage this restless energy.

sun semi-square Saturn 1:10 AM, Mercury enters Aries 1:44 AM, Moon sextile the sun 6:34 AM, Moon square Uranus 4:37 PM, Mercury semi-square Mars 6:05 PM, Moon conjunct Mars 11:08 PM.

Monday, March 28: Make this a healing day, count to five before responding and scan memories for wisdom gained in similar venues in the past as Venus conjunct Saturn. Some event asks us to engage wisdom we’ve already garnered in our life. Appreciate loyalty; to show love be steady, real, authentic; control oneself rather than try to control others. Love may take some extra work and our visions need an investment of sweat equity but will be worth it.

Moon conjunct Venus 7:47 PM, Moon conjunct Saturn 8:11 AM, Moon semi-square Sun 11:19 AM, Venus conjunct Saturn 1:27 PM, Moon enters Pisces 10:31 PM.

Tuesday, March 29: Be decisive but do not jump to conclusions, move fast but see each step through. Our intuition and our understanding can be so deep if we truly open our hearts as the Pisces Moon sextiles Uranus. Energy can fluctuate between strong bursts, and a need for a nap. Be aware of moments of overload and a need to rest before exhausted.

Moon sextile Uranus 8:53 PM, Moon semi-square Pluto 9:54 PM.

Wednesday, March 30: Moods could fluctuate between hopefulness and worry. The Moon conjunct expansive Jupiter this morning and lightens our heart but Mercury semi-squares serious Saturn and weighs us with responsibilities. It may feel like the answer is “no” but may actually be “not yet, get organized first”.  Empathize this afternoon as the Moon conjunct Neptune- honor another’s pain and help however possible, but stay centered and healthy.

Moon conjunct Jupiter 11:24 AM, Mercury semi-square Saturn 2:50 PM, Moon conjunct Neptune 3:54 PM.

Thursday, March 31: On this waning Aries Moon (tomorrow brings the New Moon) contemplate what needs to be shed, cleared, released, what truth needs to be spoken — and act. Consider the consequences carefully, don’t let them stop a good action but do proceed wisely. Speak directly but let the Aries energy be proactive not reactive. Tune into that collaborative Venus and Mars in Aquarius for the tact necessary to clear the air.

Moon sextile Pluto 10:36 AM, Moon enters Aries 3:30 AM, Moon conjunct Mercury 8:34 PM.
