Art on the Edge Art Festival comes to Linden Hills July 23, 2022

Linden Hills gets its own art fair, featuring a mashup of art, metaphysical and food vendors

(Minneapolis, Minn.) June 7, 2022 – A new kind of art fair is coming to town. Art on the Edge, a “festival where art meets metaphysical,” takes place Saturday, July 23, from 10am to 5pm in the Minneapolis neighborhood of Linden Hills.

More than 60 visual art and holistic vendors, from painters and potters to psychics and yogis, will gather along West 43rd Street east of Upton, as well as in a “magical secret garden” space behind Everett & Charlie art gallery. Event goers will enjoy live music, author readings and book signings, a psychic gallery reading with internationally renowned Brazilian soul healer Jurema Silva, and other experiences.

“We want this festival to be a great community event,” says Suzie Marty, Everett & Charlie owner and cohost of Art on the Edge with Kelly Wagner, owner and publisher of The Edge magazine.

“We are not your ordinary art fair,” Marty continues. “Art on the Edge is part psychic, part art. We believe both elements hold such amazing energy, and it made sense to put them together.”

Adds Wagner: “With Art on the Edge, we are helping curious people connect with and appreciate both the visual arts they can see and the metaphysical ones they can’t through a unique mashup of creative vendors. It’s a beautiful collaboration.”

Marty points out that Linden Hills is “a gem of a community that embraces these modalities” but doesn’t currently have an art festival to call its own. She most recently founded the Summer Sidewalk Music Series in Linden Hills in partnership with Lake Harriett Brasserie.

“We love bringing people together for the sake of bring people together for joy,” she adds. ”When people come together, they realize they share more in common than they know.”

Wagner agrees: “It’s all about community. We are connecting people, here, there and everywhere.”
