It’s the pulse and the heartbeat. It’s the rhythm and the rhyme; the orchestration, the symphony, the calliope. If the Moon did not exist, we would experience no seasons. The Earth would not wobble the way that it does. This wobble brings the Sun to its highest, most northerly point at Summer Solstice, and then back down to its lowest, most southerly point at Winter Solstice. Thanks to the presence of the Moon we experience the neverending cycle from the coldest, darkest, and most austere winter days, to the longest, richest, and most abundant Summer sunshine days and back again.

The greatest story ever told is contained in the evolution of the cycle of the seasons. We gestate in winter and meet the world in spring. We rejuvenate on our summer family vacation and gather our stores in autumn. Our personal biographies pulse and flow along similar storylines of birth and death, of learning and growing, of spiraling and cycling… All thanks to Great Grandmother Moon.
With this New Cancer Moon let us set an intention for our maximum heartfelt engagement with the storyline, the passion play, and the symphony of our lives. Let us observe our existence as a spiral ride, ebbing and flowing the way the seasons pulse. Engaging life from this perspective we gain incredible compassion, sensitivity, and a universal love for all humanity. It’s time to come from the power of our Heart as we engage the next chapter in our personal and collective stories.
Each season makes unavoidable demands of us. Summer turns to Winter and with it an understandable sorrow. We can’t resist the turn of the tide. Yet we can engage each new pulse with an unshakable compassion for this great story, the evolution of humanity. We are all being asked to step into our most authentic roles now. Set an intention for your most healing direction now and engage the Story. Let the heart lead the way and all will be well.
