Card of the Week – July 14, 2022

Tarot from Conscience (or the Traveling Moth)

A space for tarot reflection for the day, week, or moment it comes across your screen. Each of these is reworked intentionally for The Edge, from the egregore of GroupTarot’s Card of the Week, to center education, diversity, and intuition.

I picked and started writing Card of the Week a mere few hours after the pinnacle of the Full Moon. However, life conspired when to share with Kelly and Steve differently, partly because of offering readings at the Old Church as part of their Full Moon music series! So, without further adieu!

Enjoy exploring your gender expression.

Be curious about how you express yourself and why. The clothes or jewelry you do – or don’t – wear. Do you present masculine, feminine, androgynous, gender queer, gender non-conforming, or something else because you feel the most you that way? Or do you dress and present the way you do because family/society/other outside forces expect it of you?

Maybe you choose clothing – or lack thereof – based on texture; what feels best on your body. Adornments that match the energy you want to exude be that comfort, queerness, tailored, punk, welcoming…

Drink deeply from the Well of the Wyrd, from the rivers, lakes, streams, oceans, water in any of it’s forms, that are near you.

This card invites us to be gentle with ourselves and others. To lead with love, compassion, and calmness. To find time to simply enjoy being outside in nature. To remember that still waters run deep.

There is something in our central figure’s direct gaze that is currently captivating to me. I have a bias of viewing directness as harsh or stern. Instead, can directness be loving? Soft? Inviting?

What biases or expectations do you have around masculine, feminine, direct, indirect? Where do they come from and do they serve you in co-creating a b.e.s.t. world? Full of beauty, equity, sustainability and timelines?

Also, remember to stay hydrated. For those of us on Turtle Island, it’s getting HOT.
