Starcodes for the week of March 3-9, 2023

This week the mood is sensitive, nervous, and fierce. Our energy runs at a lower ebb and our nerve endings feel sensitized with the sun, Mercury, Neptune, and soon Saturn, in sensitive and receptive Pisces.

Even the energy from ordinarily activating Mars is now uncertain and diffused as Mars in nervy Gemini approaches a square to softening, dreamy Neptune. That Mars-Neptune square can lead us to question everyone’s motivation and either idealize our anger, or, potentially, let it go. We choose how we respond. It could also precipitate anger around spiritual or religious issues, accidents caused by water damage, weather, or environmental pollutants, so let’s keep our head up for unnecessary accidents, and consider not taking the bait if religious debate arises.

That doesn’t mean we’re all relaxed; our emotional responses are still swift and fierce as Venus and Jupiter in Aries keep the heat on, emotional pots simmering; they won’t let us settle in or just space out during this tail end of winter. We can be aware of hardships, feel tested by life as Venus semi-squares Saturn and the Sun semi-squares Pluto, these are quick moving and not terrible aspects to bring our minds to the things that feel heavy or worrisome. The Sun is unusually active, solar flares create aurora borealis and turn up the volume so everything feels important. Whether it’s tough news in the headlines or becoming aware of what needs work in our life.

As the weekend begins our emotional reactions can feel oversized by the expressive Leo Moon but we may not be particularly inspired to do anything. Our productivity improves and our critical edges sharpen Sunday and Monday under a diligent waxing Virgo Mon and as the Sun sextiles change-inducing Uranus. Some process that’s been stuck now becomes unstuck, so give efforts a nudge. People may be getting ready to change their minds.

Tuesday triggers introspection and changes under a full Moon at 16° of Virgo, we can analyze ourselves and want understand, but could but it can also make us painfully aware of our what makes us neurotic, what we tend to over think or doublethink. And our digestive system can take note of that stress, so lets be kind to our guts. Remember that the only point in weeding the garden is to create room for what we want to grow instead. Let’s look at our life the same way, focus on what we want to flourish in ourselves and our live, rather than focus on those weeds.

Saturn enters Pisces on Tuesday where will spend the next 2 ½ years. Here Saturn insists we be aware of all vulnerability and contemplate our responsibility to those who are vulnerable and endangered around the globe. It will be an important couple of years to promote legislation around our social responsibility to take care of our society’s vulnerable people and work together with other nations on climate vulnerability. Saturn and Neptune both go into Aries at the beginning of 2026 and crank up fire and assertion around the globe. If we’ve done our homework, we’ll be in good shape to leap forward into the future. If we haven’t, this could herald a fiery time.

Later in the week a softer Libra Moon helps us coordinate our efforts and be kinder to ourselves. It can help us use a bit of diplomacy and kindness to soften any situation and make room for this month’s big changes.

Starcodes week of March 3 through 9

Friday, March 3: Overnight discontent shifts this morning as the Moon opposes Pluto then enters enthusiastic Leo, as Venus conjunct Chiron. Some unexpected event or comment could solve a mystery or fix an ongoing problem. Evening starts off with a festive air but discontent seeps in if we aren’t feeling appreciated or safe enough as Venus approach is a semi-square to Saturn around midnight.

Moon opposes Pluto 8:22 AM, Moon enters Leo 9:15 AM, Venus conjunct Chiron 11:47 AM.

Saturday, March 4: Relationships can be tested early this grumpy morning as Venus semi-square Saturn; sleep in or be extra kind. The vibe gets social easily as the Moon the extroverted Leo trines Jupiter and Venus, but we must leave the house to greet it. If feeling lonely, look for somebody else who is lonely and needs a hand. Deal with an unexpected moment of spontaneity, tension, or minor disaster this afternoon as the Moon squares Uranus; step aside from a difference of opinion- which could become an argument merely out of stubbornness- and just be helpful.

Venus semi-square Saturn 12 AM, Moon trine Jupiter 10:56 AM, Moon trine Venus 4:27 PM, Moon square Uranus 4:53 PM.

Sunday, March 5: If a fear of loss arises, whether loss of face, or money or property slipping away, don’t get paranoid, get particular; notice what is actually being lost, evaluate the situation carefully and don’t generalize. Release what needs to be released, but also fix the gaps, repair leaks, and share from the heart. Gratitude for what we do have can help us deal with what we have what has recently gone its separate ways.

Moon sextile Mars 3:26 AM, Sun semi-square Pluto 5:14 AM, Moon opposed Saturn 9:18 PM, Moon enters Virgo 9:38 PM.

Monday, March 6: Good changes are in the winds as the Sun sextiles Uranus. The waxing Moon in Virgo can leave us critical of ourselves and other people. That Moon opposes Mercury midmorning and can help us turn from a critical retrospective into productive query so we can assess what’s working and what’s not. Be kind to self, focus on what’s gone right, who’s doing good work, and give positive feedback for that step in the right direction.

Sun sextile Uranus 7:41 AM, Moon opposed Mercury 10:32 AM.

Tuesday, March 7: It is a great time to edit, de-clutter, or spring clean as the Virgo full Moon at 6:40 AM MST highlights our longing for more perfect world and a more perfect us. Just don’t turn this cleansing on each other’s souls. Saturn heads into Pisces, highlights our sensitivities. Dream of improvement, but also be sensitive to the beauty of the world and to every step in the right direction. Let’s catch ourselves doing something right and celebrate.

Moon trine Uranus 4:50 AM, Moon opposed the Sun 6:40 AM, Saturn enters Pisces 7:34 AM, Moon square Mars 5:06 PM, Moon opposes Neptune 10:38 PM.

Wednesday, March 8: We could feel extremely sensitive to what’s out of balance in our culture, our nature, or our bodies as the Moon trines Pluto and enters Libra this morning. But let’s not stop there; ask what will bring life one step closer to balance and helps the world feel more beautiful and fair.

Moon trine Pluto 8:07 AM, Moon enters Libra 8:43 AM.

Thursday, March 9: Neither count on luck nor enable bad behavior; instead put the ground rules into play and read the fine print. Collaborate, build on people’s honest goodwill, just don’t take benevolence for granted as the Libra Moon opposes Jupiter and trines Mars. It may be particularly hard to set and enforce boundaries so let the structures in place do the heavy lifting.

Moon opposes Jupiter 11:27 AM.
