Over the Hump by Kate Mura of Group Tarot
A space for tarot reflection for the day, week, or moment it comes across your screen. Each of these is reworked intentionally for The Edge, from the egregore of Group Tarot’s Card of the Week, to center education, diversity, and intuition.

It is beautiful in my backyard,
nestled between Wy’East (Mt. Hood) and Mt. Tabor (I don’t know it’s original name, but interestingly, there is a sacred site with the same name in Israel along with a vineyard, one in Vermont, a house in England, a place in NJ about 30 min from where I grew up, and tabor is the Hebrew word for mountain. Judiasm is on my brain. I’m currently reading a zine, “Fuck Your Magic Antisemitism. A Lesser Key to the Appropriation of Jewish Mysticism.” by Ezra Rose)
I definitely did a lot of multi tasking last week, how about you?
This week I’m returning to Pride Tarot compiled by US Games for Card of the Week, in part because I am the first presenter at World Divination Pride, online, Saturday July 29th 6am Pacific/9am Eastern.
My focus has shifted to one of the blue scrub jays in my backyard.
They’re talking a lot, hopping a lot, and tried to fly from my covered hot tub, but bonked their beak on the wrought iron decoration we have at the back…
S/he’s hop/flew back up onto the hot tub after hopping on the ground a bit – I’d be a bit stunned from that impact too! Once on the hot tub it pecked the aluminum pipe that lays across the center, so we can remove the cover easily.
What strange behavior…
I type all this out and share it with you, because our environment and the land/place we are informs our tarot readings. It is our literal support and I feel knowing our foundations is incredibly important.
As is being aware of our surroundings, listening to the winds – which quite agree, they got much more active as I started typing that! {love}
Back to Pride Tarot!
We are given:
Three of Cups
Celebrate!!!
Find the reasons and the close friends you want to celebrate with! Those who love you as is, who will dance or just be near you.
That song, come on everybody and dance dance dance dance is coming to mind, and the blue scrub jay is now in the birdbath playing around.
Even if you’re by yourself in a bath or a body of water can you find some play?
Even if you’ve had a rough time of it lately, or have an INCREDIBLY full week ahead, what are three things you’re grateful for?
Can you share that gratitude with someone?
I’m also feeling quite the flow and ribbon dance in the rainbow ribbons above our two male presenting folx in the cup – oooh… hot tubbing with a friend! That could be a great action this week!
It also kinda reminds me of the pickle barrel “pools” my mom and dad played in as kids. In some parts of the Global North, we have had and are going to have some hot days, although right now it’s blessedly cool in a local downtown indie owned cafe.
Stay cool, stay hydrated.
Celebrate all that you are.
Whether you’re in or out of any number of closets out there, this card and I invite you to find reasons to dance, and share joy, this week with people you love and trust.
Or two new friends.
