A space for tarot reflection for the day, week, or moment it comes across your screen. Each of these is reworked intentionally for The Edge, from the egregore of Group Tarot’s Card of the Week, to center education, diversity, and intuition.

Did you enjoy the Perseids last weekend???

I went to bed with the dawn Sunday, as friends and I enjoyed the meteors Saturday night, literally from dusk to dawn.

How did the Six of Coins inform your choices last week? I found myself deeply rethinking what actions and relationships nourish me, and which ones drain me. Consequently, I’m making some personal and professional changes that I feel good about.

Streamlined.

One of them is, Card of the Week for The Edge, is going to morph into a video monthly tarot forecast.

How about you? Make any changes in your giving/asking last week?

Before we get into one of our final Card of the Weeks here, two things I want to make sure you’re aware of:

Aug 16th: Tea & Tarot Fundraiser. This is a win, win, win, event. It supports Raven’s Wing a magical co-op that can use our help right now (read to the end for a special tidbit). It supports the readers – Ki Ridenour Starnes and me. It supports Rebels & Priestesses (inspired by Mary K. Greer’s book Women of the Golden Dawn: Rebels and Priestesses) in the Atelier Festival. Come enjoy a cup of tea and a reading!

Aug 17th: Informational Zoom session 6-7pm Central, about October’s Writers and Creatives Retreat.

Now onto Card of the Week! This week, Modern Witch Tarot by Lisa Sterle is calling out loudly and clearly.

We are given:
King of Cups.

Go with the flow.

Embrace the sensitive sides of masculinity. Feelings, intuition, empathy, softness, depth, nourishment, gentleness, nurturing, all of these attributes are in all bodies. All people. Men, women, non-binary, gender fluid, aces. Some of us have simply been socialized to trust and value these qualities more or less, depending on so many socio-economic and assigned gender factors.

And, our value and definition of masculinity is changeable.

We have the ability to navigate choppy seas – literally and metaphorically.

The fish, which from a distance looks like a dolphin but up close looks like a fish of a lovely shade of lavender, is also popping.

The King – or Royal – of Cups’ blue seashell throne is floating on the water.

Floating on the fish/dolphin’s home.

It’s important to remember our surroundings. Be a good guest. Respect the needs of the waters, of the oceans, rivers, lakes.

Our central figure is also incredibly calm despite very choppy waters.

No water is sloshing from their cup.

Their seat is at an angle to see what is coming, to watch their course.

Their glasses are clear – no water drips or fog – and slightly rose colored.

It brings to mind the many adages around plan for the worst/hope for the best, pessimist with a healthy dose of optimism, sayings.

They are calm and ready even if they’re about to face a torrent of other people’s emotions or fears. Centered in themselves, with a nourishing beverage at the ready. One of my mailing list members reminded me that some areas are getting ready to start school, so for teachers especially, there may be some extra high emotions from kiddos and guardians. Can you be a calming, centered energy around them?

You also may find wearing blues, gold, and rose to be helpful this week. Especially if you need to communicate challenging feelings. Blue for feelings/flow; gold for clear, centered communication; rose for love, joy, and healthy boundaries.

And as always with Cups, remember to drink water. Especially, for those of us in the midst of a massive heatwave.

The code GroupTarot15 gets you 15% off all inshore and online purchases at Raven’s Wing. They had to close their Oakland, CA store. They may have to close their Portland, OR storefront as well and only be online.

I personally value brick and mortar witchy collectives. I want them to survive and thrive, so please help out however you can.
