Starcodes week of November 15-21, 2024

Gears shift this week. Friday beings with a heavy hearted, potentially heavy-handed, embodied, full Moon in Taurus – conjunct erratic Uranus. We could feel substantial changes in the weather and changes in our news feed, while also noticing our resistance to any changes which were not our idea. It’s not time to force others to adapt, life will take care of that; instead, most people could use support for the changes as emotional and spiritual adaptogens.

It will be easier to talk about those changes this weekend as a mutable, talkative Gemini Moon helps find threads of connection which can revive our belief in the human spirit. This Gemini Moon can also help us with small chores and batten down the hatches for the cold weather ahead, in all its metaphors.

Early next week a sensitive Cancer Moon can send our feelings all over the place. It’s going to be important we watch where our imagination takes us as the Sun trines Neptune. Let it prepare us for the worst but also find those cracks of light, those hopes for the future, storylines of possibility, and dwell there.

The end of the week could bring a lightening of the mood as the Sun leaves brooding Scorpio and joins Mercury in Sagittarius as Mercury opposes expansive Jupiter. Look for a glimpse of new possibilities that now feel occluded.

On Wednesday, Pluto leaves Capricorn and enters Aquarius for the next few decades. Look for new information about how technology, and the people who make money from technology, will affect the power dynamics in our world. Feel a call to work with sympathetic souls, because the dynamics of organizations, circles, groups, communities, and crowds will become pivotal over the next few decades.

With Pluto in Aquarius the focus turns to collective action, both to empower the people, and to bring up the specter of mob rule. Pluto last worked through Aquarius during the crafting of the US Constitution, a time when many countries questioned monarchies and worked to develop a fair democracy.

Whether these social nexuses feed our cultural health or become a new form of oppression will depend on our ability to respect and serve our differences. Can we create truly diverse inclusivity rather than homogenize into an unhealthy mono-culture. We need to look honestly at all our circles, speak up with a compassionate heart and help guide this trajectory in the years ahead.

Friday, November 15: We can feel both radical changes in the wind along with our desire for change versus our resistance to that change, in all its possible permutations, under a stubborn, sensuous, unpredictable, oxymoronic full Moon in earthy Taurus conjunct chaotic Uranus. Be careful not to pour anxiety about our changing world into an unnecessarily stubborn argument with beloveds. All stabilizing Taurus actions, ones that help us have a healthy relationship with our body and our surroundings, further. Saturn turns direct and plans both awful and wonderful unfold; watch the headlines and start thinking about what to build in the future.

Saturn turns direct 8:20 AM MST, Moon opposes the Sun 3:28 PM, Moon conjunct Uranus 5:31 PM, Moon sextile Neptune 8:43 PM.

Saturday, November 16: Give people room to externally process and get all their thoughts on the table, even if they’re not fully digested or organized. We’ll need to talk as the Moon enters verbal Gemini and the Sun opposes change-inducing Uranus, and may not guard what we say. It can be hard to concentrate, a mind juggling many factors. Our impulses can be brilliant or they can be skewed; consider wild radical changes but let those ideas marinate to be sure. Let tonight’s serious Moon square Saturn – not kill the spark – but add practicality to those great ideas.

Moon trine Pluto 1:20 AM MST, Moon enters Gemini 1:08 AM, Moon sextile Mars 6:59 AM, Sun opposed Uranus 8:44 PM, Moon square Saturn 9: 51 PM.

Sunday, November 17: Feel a potentially lightening of the mood this morning as the Moon conjuncts Jupiter, observe it in the night sky and let it into the heart. This conjunction can turn up the volume on any emotion, so invite it to create space in the heart and help us find the streaks of a silver lining. Rest early tonight if possible as the Moon squares Neptune, don’t let creeping doubts destroy earlier hopes, both can be true.

Moon opposed Mercury 6:41 AM MST, Moon conjunct Jupiter 8:06 AM, Moon square Neptune 10:08 PM.

Monday, November 18: We may want to crawl back into our bed and pull the covers up as the Moon enters self-protective, nurturing Cancer this morning. Mental Mercury opposes expansive Jupiter and encourages us to speak up, but let’s keep it to the point. Our imagination strengthens as the Sun trines Neptune later on, but it is important to hold a balanced view; feel the feelings but don’t disappear down a rabbit hole. All the troubles are possible and so are all the gifts and beauty. If someone needs time out tonight- take a break into an imaginary world with a happy ending; enjoy a movie or write a story and rest the soul.

Moon enters Cancer 2:49 AM MST, Mercury opposed Jupiter 2:54 AM, Moon opposed Venus 5:35 PM, Sun trine Neptune 8:07 PM.

Tuesday, November 19: Do some personal healing this morning as Mercury trines Chiron. Later, be there for others and pass on a piece of hard-won knowledge; drop any know-it-all attitude, find that inner elder, and offer support. Pluto enters Aquarius this afternoon for the next few decades; scan the horizon for clues as to what this means for the future, both personally and collectively.

Moon trine Saturn 12:47 AM MST, Mercury trine Chiron 5:28 AM, Pluto enters Aquarius 2:29 PM, Moon sextile Uranus 10:55 PM.

Wednesday, November 20: We can build momentum but let’s sort carefully where to invest our time and energy. It can be hard to winnow out our ego reactions or over-dramatization from real things that need our attention as the Moon enters Leo and opposes Pluto. Don’t dismiss strong emotions but do monitor the volume control. Watch for interpersonal sparks, particularly late afternoon as that Leo Moon conjuncts Mars, make them only the best kind.

Moon trine Neptune 2:45 AM, Moon trine Sun 5:19 AM, Moon enters Leo 7:50 AM, Moon opposed Pluto 7:52 AM, Moon conjunct Mars 4:15 PM.

Thursday, November 21: The Sun enters Sagittarius, sextiles Pluto and adds fire to the Moon and Mars in Leo, encouraging us to take action and express ourselves. Sagittarius calls us outside to the stabilizing blessings of the natural world and inside to speak with honesty and clarity. First, we need to be honest with ourselves about where we still need to do the work, and what is still worth our gratitude. Look for a gracious moment of connection around dinner time, appreciate warm hearts nearby and feel appreciation echo back as the Moon sextiles Jupiter.

Sun enters Sagittarius 1:56 PM, Sun sextile Pluto 2:49 PM, Moon sextile Jupiter 6:20 PM.
