galaxies poem

In the Smithsonian
I read about
a new telescope
that will allow scientists
to virtually explore
twenty billion galaxies.

I picture Star Trek
on steroids.

And here
we are yet unable
to figure out intelligently,
heartfully,
how to adequately
take care of our one.
