After years in the trenches serving others, Jackie determined the time was right to focus on her own passion, sharing the stories, photos and the books that make history so fascinating to her. Hence, the creation of her blog, The Historic Traveler, and her membership alliance, Historic Traveler International – dedicated to informing, uniting and supporting other history and historic book lovers. “The world is my history classroom,” she says, “and I am always excited to learn!” Jackie is sharing the content and images from her visits to more than 500 cities, villages, castles, landmarks and more. Her slide archive includes nearly 20,000 images. Jackie’s personal library counts 600 books – including many she sources from used bookstores on day-long treasure hunts.
