Change is happening so fast. Life can sometimes feel like juggling flaming wands while driving in heavy traffic and the phone starts ringing after you missed your exit and the kids are arguing in the backseat before school, and you just remembered you forgot something at home but you’re going to have to keep going and improvise. Like that.
And that is in the context of a crazy economy, political system, and various levels of human-life intensity and a constant barrage of threats described by various news outlets. There is so much happening. Can we keep our wits about us?
In the plant kingdom, Gemini is the season of exterior hyper diversification. Things are coming into greater height, fuller leaf, and more abundant blossoming. The bees are active. The Sun is getting higher and higher. The days are getting longer and longer. There is so much happening.
As one horticulturally minded, we may be harvesting, planting, cultivating, tilling, mowing, pruning, and processing all at the same time. There is so much happening.
There is so much happening that it’s easy for us to get distracted or thrown off course. 1000 different news outlets with 1000 different opinions on 1000 different topics. Friends and family with differing opinions and values coinciding with so much change that settling on an opinion is dangerous! Crisis is impending, intensity is rising, and there is so much “out there “that it’s really easy to lose track of what’s in here”.
And here is where we set our intention for this New Gemini Moon; to stay as light and curious and creative as possible amidst the distractions, the necessities, the noise, and the real-world responsibilities of human life.
Folks can forget that Gemini is the Magician. We create with our words. The lens with which we perceive reality co-creates it. Therefore, it is imperative that we free ourselves, as much as possible, from the distractions and the noise and focus with clarity on our necessities and real-world responsibilities.
In that focus, it becomes our duty to perceive, think, and speak with our hearts as opposed to our fear, sorrow, or anger. That’s the magic. When we think, speak, and listen with our hearts, reality becomes clearer. Our footing on the path becomes surer. We are able to pivot, dance, and improvise with the changes in the developing terrain. That is our task as well.
Then we can act. With Saturn now in Aries for the next 2.5 years, with a brief return to Pisces this Autumn, we can remove the superfluous and focus on WHAT WE NEED TO DO and WHOM WE NEED TO BE without compromising self.
Don’t believe the hype. Don’t get lost in the noise. Focus your attention on your heart and the hearts of those you love. Do what you must do and be who you must be. Make your personal world as safe and beautiful and possible. Remove distractions. Clearly define your best of all possible worlds. Advance confidently in the direction of your dreams by building strong foundations under them, and all will be well.
