“I couldn’t sit back and watch as people were being torn apart by narratives of division, anger, and hate,” Julia says. “When the algorithms for some unknown reason would not show the video to many, I knew I had to do something – even if it meant making real sacrifices.”
Her paid social media promotion spread compassion and understanding to those seeking a counter-narrative to political and media-driven hate. By investing her own resources to share her message, Julia Watkins embodied the very spiritual concepts she teaches – demonstrating her commitment to unity and compassion not just in words, but through her actions.
While Julia had hoped that small mentions of her products would help fund further promotion of the video, after nearly five years of supporting its distribution, the video yielded no profit.
“I may have stretched myself a little thin – and it definitely created some financial strain. But I would do it again,” she says.
