Starcodes for the week of September 12-18, 2025

As the leaves change and a bit of apricot sprinkles across the green, an astrologically social, heart-centered, creative few weeks open as Venus in Leo sextiles Mars in Libra. It’s time to reach out, collaborate, meet new people, deepen old contacts, and soften our hearts to remember love and care exists, art heals, even in harsh times. Nurture relationships with the bit of social bravery and kindness and a gentle creative surge which the planets now encourage. Nurture collaboration in the face of division.

We need that bit of ease. Underneath it is the deep, ongoing, era- changing work of the next few years as Pluto in Aquarius trines Uranus in Gemini and both sextile Neptune in Aries; right now, that pattern is exact and all three planets are retrograde.

The first round of those era-changing patterns hit this last year. The retrograde action sends us back to review the consequences of our actions this fall. The astrological changes transform and escalate in the springtime to define these next few years.

We may wonder how to stay relevant in these changing times. The gears are shifting; the world’s economy and political alliances are spinning wheels. Stay connected in the heart, connected to our lighthouse of social ideals and ambitions to stay on target and navigate the changing seas.

One thing we know, looking at the headlines, is nothing will stay the same. These social moments where we see each other in warmth and light, where we build alliances, are powerful medicine not to be underestimated.

This weekend the Sun and Mercury conjunct in nervy Virgo, and both sextile expansive Jupiter. Though some can waste it on wild subjective speculation, these soft aspects can help us open our world, share a sweet moment, and refill our tanks.

The Gemini Moon keeps us talking through the weekend, but our nervous system can run rather high strung. On Sunday evening the Moon enters more domestic, self-care and self-protective Cancer. Venus sextiles Mars on Monday, bringing in relationship issues, lovely where we can see each other in the present moment, tricky of we load our interactions with expectations.

Mercury enters Libra and opposes Neptune under a Leo Moon on Wednesday and Thursday, which can reconnect us with our creative muse. But people can be less realistic, lost in their stories, and then have trouble seeing what’s actually going on. Stay in the moment and check all facts.

Starcodes reading week of September 12 through 18 by Heather Roan Robbins

Friday, September 12: After a relatively pragmatic morning under the Taurus Moon, the Moon enters Gemini, and the conversation really picks up. Fan any sparks of optimism as the Sun and Mercury sextile expansive, luck-inducing Jupiter. Explore possibilities, don’t get hooked on whether they are probabilities or not just yet. But let’s watch what we say, as some will say too much and have to take it all back later. Check headlines and new job postings this afternoon as the Moon enters verbal Gemini. Political commentary could be wild but look globally for positive revealing news. The post-work social hour buzzes, action continues late into the night.

Moon square Venus 12:58 AM MDT, Sun sextile Jupiter 1:29 AM, Moon sextile Saturn 2:13 PM, Moon enters Gemini 3:38 PM, Mercury sextile Jupiter 3:53 PM, Moon sextile Neptune 5:23 PM, Moon conjunct Uranus 6:02 PM, Moon trine Pluto 6:17 PM.

Saturday September 13: Keep talking, but don’t expect anybody to make clear decisions today. Negotiate rather than declare under this nervy Gemini Moon. Our minds race and explore options, but objectivity is scarce as the Sun and Mercury conjunct in mercurial Virgo. Consider looking both under the rocks and into potential flowers, at the worst and the best, then let the thoughts simmer. If the mind starts to rev up- journal, talk, share, give the nerves room to run, just question any untested conclusions. We’ll need grounding later on; come back into the body and taste delicious food.

Sun conjunct Mercury 4:51 AM MDT.

Sunday, September 14: Juggle multiple needs or projects, multi-level conversations; keep all those pots simmering. If small glitches arise on this busy day, use them as a teaching moment rather than get frustrated as the diverse, dispersing Gemini Moon squares the Sun, Mercury, and Saturn. Tonight, turn inwards to recombobulate, prepare the next for a busy week ahead as the Moon enters introspective Cancer and squares Neptune.

Moon square Sun 4:32 AM MDT, Moon square Mercury 6:16 AM, Moon sextile Sun 8:09 AM, Moon trine Mars 9:41 AM, Moon square Saturn 4:46 PM, Moon enters cancer 6:30 PM, Moon square Neptune 8:12 PM.

Monday, September 15: This could bring a juicy moment as Venus sextiles Mars but under a shy and sensitive Cancer Moon. A door opens softly and brings opportunity for connections, but it’s up to us to walk through. Mixed signals, come here and go away, are an accurate description of the layers going on inside a person; read carefully and with kindness. Watch for those few people who are so self-focused they can only defend, not create. Consider putting in gentle action (Mars in Libra) towards a creative project- or self-promotion (Venus in Leo).

Venus sextile Mars 9:03 PM MDT.

Tuesday, September 16: Some ghosts of our emotional past come up and can either get in our way and distort what we’re seeing, or they can remind us of important skills and understanding from the past we that we learned the hard way. We can project memories into the present and make false assumptions or remember we know how to do this as Venus trines, and Mars opposes, the asteroid Chiron. Learn from the memories, but don’t let them block a potential future which could be quite different. Around dinnertime, don’t snap back defensively if someone gets cranky, just step out of the way out of the way so they’ve got less to apologize for later on as the Moon squares Mars. Talk it out late tonight or tomorrow.

Venus trine chiron 4:10 AM MDT, Moon conjunct Jupiter 6:17 AM, Mars opposed chiron 9:46 AM, Moon sextile Sun 12:52 PM, Moon square Mars 4:52 PM, Moon sextile Mercury 6:51 PM, Moon trine Saturn 9:13 PM, Moon enters Leo 11:19 PM.

Wednesday, September 17: The Sunny Leo Moon can encourage our inner extrovert or class clown- or exacerbate the narcissistic behavior we see in the news. The Leo Moon adds a potentially lighthearted touch, just as Mercury opposes Saturn and asks us to be the grown-ups in the room. Read the fine print, get good legal advice, and hold one another responsible. But watch for a tendency to become controlling in the face of uncertainty. Rather than punishment, work on creating a better and more secure future.

Moon trine Neptune 1:00 AM MDT, Moon sextile Uranus 1:52 AM, Moon opposed Pluto 2:05 AM, Mercury opposed Saturn 11:46 AM.

Thursday, September 18: Some negotiation can move out of suspicion and into potential solution. Our imagination expands but needs to be kept busy to stay out of trouble. Write beautiful stories rather than spin a story of depression, love, or conspiracy (and watch out for those that get lost in their stories) as Mercury enters friendlier, more egalitarian Libra and opposes creative Neptune. Theorize, then check the facts. Come back and get grounded in what’s next.

Mercury enters Libra 4:05 AM MDT, Mercury opposes Neptune 4:01pm, Mercury trine Uranus 10:52 PM.

Astrology does not define the future, it describes a pulse, a pattern – you choose how you respond. Let me know what you need, I can do an in-depth reading or work on a specific question. Readings start with a deep look at your natal chart, transits and progressions; who you are, your strengths, weaknesses, and your soul’s priorities, what’s being triggered in your chart now, and how best to work with those energies. I work via Zoom and phone. I am a practical, intuitive, choice-oriented astrologer, ordained interfaith minister, OBOD member, and Hay House author.
