Starcodes for the week of September 5-11, 2025

The planets send us back to school, back into the swing of things this week. The Sun and Mercury, now both in industrious Virgo, encourage us to ponder the relevance of what we’re doing and what we’re learning while we organize and streamline our world for this busy fall season.

Virgo sorts, epitomized by Virgo’s symbol of a woman holding a sheaf of wheat; to use the wheat we must sort it from the chaff. Virgo rules the guts whose job is to sort nutrition from waste, absorb the first and release the other. In Virgo season we’re called to look at the whole world from this perspective, what do we want to absorb, nurture, plant, savor, and what do we need to release- whether it’s attitudes, objects, mindsets, friendships, or seeds for next year’s garden, This sorting is intensified by a full Moon- lunar eclipse at 15 degrees of Pisces to Virgo on Sunday.

Think of that Virgo mental energy like a border collie, highly efficient with a clear job, but can go stir crazy when bored in small spaces. If a mind starts perseverating on anxieties, give it a challenging job to do.

Luckily, Venus in expressive Leo, and Mars in sociable, egalitarian Libra, now loan us a touch of social grace, emotional bounce, and a whiff of extroversion. If small things go wrong or our moods fluctuate, Mars and Venus can loan us remarkable emotional resilience. While these placements can stimulate grandstanding in the public eye- watch for interesting chapters in the ongoing national melodramas- they also help kids connect in school and improve our general interpersonal flow. Make new friends.

Uranus stations and turns retrograde this weekend, which can set off a disturbance in the force. Most of us won’t notice directly, but we could see the ground shift, electrical equipment acts up, and potentially, some immanent changes could be put on hold. Uranus, Saturn, and Neptune are all now retrograde, heading back to the signs they occupied last year once again before they proceed in the new year. This may give us a reprieve of some of the worst of the changes but also slow down the best of our transformations. Let’s use this time to rethink how to do it better this time.

The weekend begins under a sociable Aquarius Moon and as Uranus retrogrades. The Moon enters Pisces on Saturday, heading to that Full Moon-Lunar eclipse on Sunday as Venus trines Ceres. This line -up asks us to ponder what really nurtures us and how can we balance that with our responsibilities to the people around us. It also wants us to look squarely at the true victims of our time and investigate how we can help.

Early next week the Moon in brash, impatient Aries demands that we take action, we must make sure it’s wise action. Watch for abrupt changes that are reactive, not necessarily well thought out. Wednesday brings a karmic moment as the Moon opposes Mars and the Sun hits the nodes; pay attention to consequences. The Moon enters Taurus late Wednesday as Mercury conjuncts the South node, sending us back to review, remember past events that directly affect what is occurring now. Let’s grow our wisdom base.

Friday, September 5: A sociable day with strange quirks; an Aquarius Moon opposed Venus can bring us out of our shell, help us consider how the group thrives, but could bring moments of social awkwardness we just need to breathe through. Uranus retrogrades, trine Pluto, and can provoke strange mechanical shifts, shift in plans, electrical oddities, and provokes questions about what direction we now need to pursue.

Moon opposed Venus 3:48 AM MDT Moon trine Mars 2:51 PM, Uranus turns retrograde 10:51 PM.

Saturday, September 6: Expect random tears as the Moon waxes towards full in sensitive Pisces. Midday, keep plans fluid, ready to adjust to strange blocks but also unusual opportunities. Pay attention to an unexpectedly tender moment, let it bring us to our hearts. Ponder how to nurture ourselves yet stay responsible to the collective as Venus trines Ceres. Tonight, prioritize rest and deliciousness.

Moon enters Pisces 9:54 AM MDT, Moon square Uranus 12:25 PM, Venus trine Ceres 5:22 PM.

Sunday, September 7: Contradictions flow under this full Moon in Pisces/lunar eclipse, exact at 12:08 PM MDT. Some illusion could now break open, some understanding of the heart ripen, in the light of clear thinking and new facts. Emotions run high tide, but don’t look for a story the personal life to blame, our leaky psyches could be resonating with global angst. Use sensitivity for good. Moods lighten tonight as the Moon trines Jupiter.

Moon opposed Mercury 1:40 AM MDT, Moon opposed Sun, solar eclipse 12:08 PM, Moon trine Jupiter 6:24 PM.

Monday, September 8: After that emotional high tide of a weekend, Re-center and organize this morning, then hit the ground running around noon as the Moon conjuncts Saturn and enters Aries. Take leadership. Stay proactive rather than reactive. Re envision the next step, stay proactive rather than reactive, don’t let what we’re against define, instead what are we for and hold and move in that direction.

Moon conjuncts Saturn 11:43 AM MDT, Moon enters Aries 12:36 PM, Moon conjunct Neptune 2:32 PM, Moon sextile Uranus 3:02 PM, Moon sextile Pluto 3:20 PM.

Tuesday, September 9: Motivate in fits and bursts; energy builds where we’re motivated or reactive, but we drag our feet towards someone else’s ideas of our responsibilities. Let the urge to rebel inform what’s really cooking underneath, how we honestly feel, but then move out of rebellion and into creation. Evening grows more sociable, make the effort to reconnect.

Moon trine Venus 7:06 PM MDT, Moon square Jupiter 8:42 PM.

Wednesday, September 10: After a potentially volatile, irritable, or impulsive morning as the Moon opposes Mars, the mood stabilizes and deepens as the Moon enters steadier, more stubborn Taurus, and squares Pluto mid-afternoon. We may be asked what we’re willing to give up in order to make it to the next level. Tone down flashes of possessiveness; let’s care for what we have instead of fighting over what others have. Memories flow through this evening. Let it be healing.

Moon opposes Mars 12:53 AM, Moon enters Taurus 2:03 PM, Moon square Pluto 4:42 PM.

Thursday, September 11: Our minds review the past on this historically significant day as Mercury conjuncts the south lunar node. Let the mind meander over melancholy, loss, questions, joys, projects that we need to bring forward, and what we’ve healed so far this lifetime. Honor the feelings and let them flow. Don’t get stuck in the past, do learn from it. Tonight can bring great hints of the future or moments of comfort as the Moon trines the Sun and Mercury.

Mercury conjunct the South node 4:22 PM, Moon trine Mercury 8:17 PM, Moon trine Sun 10:28 PM, Moon sextile Jupiter 10:39 PM.
