Starcodes: October 10-16

Starcodes for the week of October 10-16, 2025

This week is layered with great and challenging aspects, which could be fairly easy on us individually, but play out on the big screen. Venus enters her own beauty- and equity- loving sign Libra to form a grand trine with Uranus in Gemini and Pluto in Aquarius, all air signs, potentially as colorfully buoyant as a sky full of hot air balloons. This grand triangle encourages a fresh approach and hints of the future. We want to move furniture, meet new people, engage in real conversations, shift politicians and social assumptions.

This grand trine can instill a longing for positive change and help us see the beauty in drifting fall leaves, search for healthy connection and collaboration within our challenges. Like kneading bread, life’s friction can help individuals find one another and create a potentially nourishing cohesion between.

But underneath October’s golden aspen and azure skies, underneath balloons and trines, we’re challenged by a hard-core aspect throughout October. Mars conjuncts Mercury in pointed Scorpio, bringing Scorpio’s stubborn, surgical, investigative, and sometimes revengeful undercurrents. This conjunction demands we look into our collective history and become aware of what’s hidden in the dark corners.

Scorpio’s symbols are both the eagle and the sncorpio, the highest and deepest notes of the zodiac. Mars conjunct Mercury in Scorpio, Mars’own sign, can bring out the most Machiavellian misuses of power as well as compassionately investigate and expose those very same things. It calls us to look at fear directly but instead of adding oil to a fire, bring in cleansing light and honesty. Bring this insight into our psyche, relationships, and our culture. Introspect with a forgiving and illuminating light.

The weekend starts out under a buzzing, communicative Gemini Moon which encourages good conversations, short quips, intense critique and easy errands, though people can feel wound up underneath with awareness of deadlines or deeper concerns. The Moon then enters Cancer and asks us to nurture what matters to us, protect those who need protection. But watch out for those overactive defenses which can turn on those nearby.

As the Moon enters more outgoing, expressive Leo on Tuesday, enjoy simple performances, life with a flourish, but watch for a tendency to tell lies and exaggerate stories in order to deflect criticism. Look for weird political grandstanding and some truly creative protests. That Leo Moon squares the Mars-Mercury conjunction in Scorpio, so what people say and how they act could be at odds, notice both from both the conscious and the unconscious. They may not be aware of the disconnect. Let’s check ourselves for the same, become conscious of our mixed feelings and at least be honest with ourselves.

Friday, October 10: We could have trouble waking up after a restless night, our minds busy processing events as the Gemini Moon conjuncts Uranus and trines Pluto overnight. Check headlines, check in with the team, get on the same page before proceeding. Our work, our creative process, our loves, and our friendships can be tested by Saturn woes, either tiredness, trust issues, lack of attention, logistical difficulties, or responsibilities. Be there for one another -even when things are inconvenient- and those connections strengthen. Be busy but be trustworthy and honest about personal limitations and needs.

Moon conjunct Uranus at 12:47 AM, Moon trine Pluto 1:23 AM.

Saturday, October 11: Don’t hurry this morning, take a few moments to reconsider life, to savor the moment and tend to soul and laundry. Then, as Venus opposes Saturn and the Moon squares Saturn this morning, don’t test one another, instead forgive people’s foibles. If we’ve been disappointed in someone, let’s look at the backstory; do we need to set a clear boundary or be more understanding and educate one another. Later on the Moon trines the Sun, enjoy random conversations; even if our attention scatters, we can pick up important information unexpectedly in the flotsam.

Venus opposed Saturn 5:10 AM, Moon square Saturn 7:29 PM, Moon trine the Sun 8:55 PM.

Sunday, October 12: Let’s come home to ourselves as the Moon enters nurturing, self-protective Cancer, take care of ourselves and take responsibility for our own well-being rather than blame others for our unhappiness. Watch for a passive aggressive or withholding streak, instead be honest and self-empowered. But also, do not righteously judge what others feel they need. Remember we are our siblings’ keepers, so investigate who needs us to stand up for them. Practice the golden rule as a deep spiritual process.

Moon heads into Cancer 12:36 AM, Moon square Neptune 1:02 AM, Moon trine Mercury 4:10 PM.

Monday, October 13: Unspoken reassurance furthers in intimate relationships as Venus semi-squares Mars this morning. On this complex day we want to feel safe, but our dueling defenses, triggered by life’s grit, can cause problems. Consider carefully what will help; ask, don’t guess. Pluto turns direct after a long retrograde, though most people will barely feel it, this could expose some hidden struggle, plot, or plumbing issue. Venus enters Libra this afternoon and trines Uranus and Pluto. We’re ready for great changes, but let’s be specific- take a break but don’t leave something potentially wonderful just because it will take work and vulnerability as Venus opposes Neptune. Put work into great dreams.

Moon trine Mars 1:06 AM, Venus semi-square Mars 3:12 AM, Moon square the Sun 12:12 PM, Venus enters Libra 3:18 PM, Moon conjunct Jupiter 5:48 PM, Venus opposed Neptune 7:15 PM, Pluto turns direct 8:52 PM, Moon trine Saturn 11:04 PM.

Tuesday, October 14: Avoid confrontations this moody morning as the Leo Moon opposes Pluto and Venus trines Uranus; watch for misplaced feelings and be honest about what’s really bothering, then move into a potential-filled day. Some people will make grandstanding power moves, the rest of us can just open our hearts and collaborate on good projects. Find good new connections by breaking routine. It furthers to take a creative approach and connect with unusual allies as Venus perfects that grand trine with Uranus and Pluto. Enjoy the sparks. Help one other person feel seen and appreciated, and watch this reflect back with love.

Moon enters Leo 4:46 AM, Moon trine Neptune 5:07 AM, Moon sextile Venus 6:09 AM, Moon sextile Uranus 6:20 AM, Moon opposed Pluto 7:14 AM, Venus trine Uranus 8:09 AM, Venus trine Pluto 5:44 PM.

Wednesday, October 15: Take care of logistics this subjective irritable morning, leave personality politics out of it for the moment, and that can get complicated. Our dark edges can flash under the surface like swirling koi in a pond, don’t bait them unless ready to deal with the whole situation. Listen with a critical mind, some people are only interested in convincing others rather than being curious about the truth. Afternoon brings optimism, water good things with appreciation; let talents shine and applaud others for doing the same.

Moon square Mercury 3:40 AM, Moon square Mars 9:49 AM, Moon sextile Sun 11:05 PM.

Thursday, October 16: Make it a healing day, engage a chance to be generously supportive as the Sun squares Jupiter and the Moon enters reparative Virgo. Expand, but do not overshoot the mark; take the space you need without taking the oxygen away from others. Tone it down, but do not go silent: pursue facts, not egos. Look for objective solid ground with a compassionate, not enabling, heart.
