Starcodes: October 31 – November 6

Starcodes for the week of October 31 – November 6, 2025

Happy autumnal turning point at the heart of Scorpio season. Whether we celebrate Halloween, Samhain, Day of the Dead or All Souls’ Day, it’s time to face our fears in costume, honor our beloved beyond the veil, and symbolically sweeten the future with sweet treats to children.

Our intuitive and imaginative perceptions are wide open this Halloween under a watery Pisces Moon and as Mars, Saturn, and Jupiter linger in a grand trine in water signs. We felt flooded this week as a hurricane swamped the Caribbean and emotions swamped much of our experience. This week Mercury in Sagittarius, with Mars soon following into Sagittarius on Tuesday, calls us to respond with water-sign sensitivity morphing into fire-sign action towards all the vulnerable. It can be tricky when everyone feels sensitive but also needs to speak some unvarnished truths. Our words can cut through obfuscation but wound unintentionally, so we have to add the tact.

A predominance of water signs can trigger our compassion, our intuition and imagination; our perceptions become unusually permeable, potentially open to empathy and spirits. This bothers some people who try to toughen up, shut down, or get mean to block it. It can feel overwhelming, but we can practice healthy boundaries and good personal insulation rather than shut down.

There’s an old adage in intuitive training – when you get a hit, if you’re not afraid of it, and you don’t want it, then it’s probably true. The rest takes careful sorting and validation. All the strong emotions can stir and cloud the waters which can make it hard to tell the difference between some truth we’ve perceived versus our hopes and fears reflected back to us in illusion. We need critical thinking, a perceptive heart, and practical information to clarify.

It can be tempting to cut bait, cut ties and step away from a difficult situation, but it may be not quite time. Step away, take a short break, and wait till Mercury turns direct in December to make a more final decision. Mid-January brings Mercury and Mars conjunct again, this time in efficient Capricorn, an efficient time to make a major change, To relocate, change jobs, take a different path, based on the experiences of this fall.

The mood shifts towards action as the Moon enters Aries on Sunday and through early next week, let’s make it wise action. On Tuesday, Mars enters Sagittarius and opposes Uranus, a challenging aspect that stirs the deeper layer of silt, and can be synchronous with electronic and mechanical, revolutionary feelings, erratic behavior. But it can also break loose a log jam and get the flow going. Expect the unexpected.

Thursday’s Full Moon in grounded, sensual Taurus can make us hungry or just bring out our territorial aspects. While this can be a cuddly Full Moon, it is also amazingly stubborn. Long-term differences will not budge at this time, don’t push. Do garden life.

Mercury turns retrograde next week, from November 9 through November 29, and is already in its shadow. We can feel that mental molasses creeping in, so pay extra attention to completing what needs to be completed and get logistics organized for the month ahead.

Friday, October 31: Tend to business in the morning, travel and tell stories this afternoon. Be safely wild this Halloween. Dance in the streets or step into an alter ego as Mercury in expansive Sagittarius opposes spontaneous Uranus. Just watch those crazy harebrained last-minute impulses that Uranus can send and think it through for a minute. That Mercury Uranus opposition wants excitement while the sensitizing Pisces Moon wants to feel safe in a dream, to be tender and not have to put up our guards. Tend to the truly vulnerable first, then enjoy an unfolding story, an expansive moment in the evening as the Moon trines the Sun. Trick or treat with glee and keep each other safe.

Moon square Mars 12:14 AM, Moon enters Pisces 5:45 AM, Moon square Uranus 6:17 AM, Moon square Mercury 9:32 AM, Moon trine Sun 9:42 PM.

Saturday, November 1: Honor all souls on this All Souls Day. Our feelings are still sensitive; give people signals that that they are safe and sweetness unfolds. Because no major aspects are perfect today and the Moon meanders in dreamy, spacy Pisces, this isn’t a day to judge efficiency but to be, to reminisce and explore with tenderness. Listen to the spirits in the wind. Honor memories. Find what’s needed and take it from there.

No major aspects.

Sunday, November 2: Let the conversation be serious and deep this morning as the Moon conjuncts Saturn and Neptune. Energy picks up as the Moon heads into Aries, humor and action spike, our patience thins but our enthusiasm grows as Venus squares Jupiter. Expect strong emotional reactions of all kinds, let it be loving care. Affection and appreciation go far. Art, music, and dance can be therapeutic; if we can’t explain ourselves, we put it into expressive movement.

Venus opposes Chiron at 12:37 AM, Moon trine Jupiter 1:16 AM, Moon conjunct Saturn 1:30 AM, Moon trine Mars 616 AM, Moon conjunct Neptune 8:15 AM, Moon enters Aries 8:39 AM, Moon trine Mercury 3:17 PM, Venus square Jupiter 4:16 PM.

Monday, November 3: The Scorpio Sun and Aries Moon can bring explosive energy; tension and confrontation, passion, new beginnings. Luckily, Venus in Libra encourages a more peaceful and creative approach. We can see consideration and fairness as a love language, and react with intensity to the opposite, whether in romance or politics. But a visionary Mars-Neptune trine encourages us to see outside of the box, beyond the confrontation. Take the ambient impatient irascibility and turn it towards possibilities. Plant seeds, start projects that build momentum later.

Mars trine Neptune 8:59 PM.

Tuesday, November 4: Some truth comes to the surface on this voting day; watch what people say and do, they’ll reveal their inner workings as Mars joins Mercury in frank, outspoken Sagittarius and opposes electric Uranus under a stubborn Taurus Moon. Think thoroughly before impulsive actions or comments, Mars-Uranus oppositions can be confrontational, spark mechanical problems or accidents of distraction. Walk boldly and enthusiastically, just stay situationally aware. Howl at the Moon tonight as it prepares for tomorrow morning’s full Moon at 6:19 AM.

Moon square Jupiter 1:25 AM, Moon opposed Venus 4:21 AM, Mars enters Sagittarius 6:01 AM, Moon enters Taurus 9:15 AM, Mars opposes Uranus 10:29 AM, Moon square Pluto 11:35 AM.

Wednesday, November 5: The full Moon in Taurus at 6:19 AM MST can bring a high tide of connection yet set a stubborn tone for the day. Taurus asks us to search for what creates comfortable stability. An ongoing Mercury-Mars conjunction in restless Sagittarius can keep our minds busy but dispersed, concentration comes and goes. Our minds are ready to explore options, but that stubbornness can dig in heels, explore possibilities but don’t try to push people out of their comfort zone. Later on, if that post-full Moon crash leaves us tired, like we’re recovering from too much coffee, take care of the body and rest.

Moon opposed the Sun 6:19 AM -Full Moon.

Thursday November 6: New thoughts, information, or outrageous comments arrive as the Moon enters talkative Gemini, conjuncts Uranus and trines Pluto. Venus heads into deep-feeling, self-protective Scorpio, approaches a square to Pluto, and can bring tension into our personal relationships unless we keep our hearts open and centered. Everybody needs time in their inner world to reassess while Venus is in Scorpio, they are not necessarily pulling away from us. Deal with suspicions, not passive aggressively, but with directness.

Moon enters Gemini 8:20 AM, Moon conjunct Uranus 8:25 AM, Moon trine Pluto 10:41 AM, Moon opposed Mars 10:48 AM, Venus enters Scorpio 3:39 PM, Moon opposed Mercury 6:18 PM.
