Starcodes for the week of January 23-29, 2026
Our eyes stay glued to the large sweeps of history this week. The Sun is really active, flares set auroras dance which amps up the astrological volume. Mars joins Pluto, Sun, Mercury, and Venus in collective and political Aquarius, inspiring both weird theories and powerful collective action.
The two willful planets, Mars and Pluto, conjunct and this doubles their torque. This can give us a can-do attitude, inspires potential heroism, and puts muscles in all we do, but can lead to a clash of wills, confrontations, and accidents when more momentum than wisdom operates. So, let’s get wise.
Neptune enters Aries on Tuesday, as it did briefly last summer but then retrograded back into Pisces. The last Neptune in Aries cycle before this began 165 years ago on the day the American Civil War broke out. Let’s see if we can turn this strong muscular ship with less bloodshed and more Neptunian vision this time.
Neptune takes about 13.5 years in a sign. These long tours of Neptune through a sign symbolize for that era what we find beautiful, addictive, and where we can delude ourselves, as well as what we idealize and where spirit can find us. Neptune here can encourage us to idealize the feisty, brave, militant, and rebellious Aries energy.
Aries energy encourages us to boldly rush in where angels fear to tread; it can lower our impulse control. Neptune entering Aries begins a brash, active, fiery, potentially militant decade where we need to confront disarm the myth of old school dominance, might makes right, and a good war will solve everything. But we could also potentially find deep inner courage to heroically tackle the real problems of our world rather than tackle one another.
We may feel this more in the ebb and flow of history around us than upheaval in our personal lives, but this week our relationships can get threadbare when all the focus is outward and not on those nearby.
This weekend begins as Mars enters Aquarius and the Sun conjuncts Pluto, all under a spicy Aries Moon. Stay tuned in. Bring this restless fire back home to do what’s needed in an active, potentially volatile time, but be careful to feed only the best sparks.
The weekend starts as Mars joins Pluto, Sun, Mercury, and Venus in Aquarius. The Sun conjunct intense Pluto now, followed by a Mars-Pluto conjunction midweek. Let’s hold hands and check in with one another, check in with friends closer to the fire. Feel the heat, but don’t take it out on one another. Living life fully and with joy can be part of a great rebellion.
Pluto aspects want us to keep our priorities clear in the face of life, death, and power struggles. Pluto likes to go deep, doesn’t care about the details. We will see misuse of power, and we could see redemptive action. Notice danger in those storm clouds, both the weather, moods, and politics. Honor the brave people working together to overcome those dangers.
These conjunctions in Aquarius ask us to apply this through the collective, through our community and our country. It also talks about the deadliness of a theory, particularly theory that is cut off from authentic facts and compassionate realities. Pluto encourages us to use our willpower carefully, to not get caught in power struggles but instead feel empowered to hold our ground, to remember what matters and to work for the benefit of all sentient beings.

Friday, January 23: The fire is up and our eyes are on the big screen. We could see major political denouements over the next week, so stay involved and stay tuned in. Bring some of this restless fire, this sifting of priorities, back to our personal life and do what’s needed to improve life close at home. Watch for dangers of excess, saying too much, too much snow, too optimistic Attitudes which miss a danger, too many measle germs. Things fall into place this afternoon as the Aries Moon sextiles all five Aquarius planets; if doors prop open- let’s walk through. If we see a problem, let’s stop and help. Burn off steam constructively tonight.
Moon sextile Uranus 1:58 AM MST, Mars enters Aquarius 2:16 AM EST, Moon conjuncts Saturn 2:32 AM, the Sun conjuncts Pluto 3:28 AM, Moon conjuncts Neptune 6:16 AM, Moon enters Aries 6:20 AM, Moon sextile Mars 6:40 AM, Moon sextiles Pluto 12:33 PM, Moon sextiles Sun 1:16 PM, Moon sextiles Mercury 4:16 PM, Moon sextiles Venus 9:17 PM.
Saturday, January 24: Be active. Our attention scatters easily unless we feel strongly about what we’re doing. We can wander around in our own world trying to understand the meaning of existence and purpose of our life or get hyper focused and be oblivious to the needs of those nearby; we look deeply inwards, look wildly outwards, but it can be hard to look around the room. Check in with people. The energy runs high tonight, investigate What needs healing, and what needs to be expressed.
Moon square Jupiter 2:36 PM MST, Moon conjunct Chiron 10:41 PM.
Sunday, January 25: Comfort food furthers; make soup for the neighbors. Offer tangible comfort, touch, pragmatic help as the Moon enters Taurus this morning and squares Mars and Pluto this afternoon. Complete a project, help a person carry a box, love is shown through practical assistance. Watch for potential confrontation this afternoon; be stubborn rather than knee jerk contrary, choose arguments carefully. Hold ground rather than grudges; stubbornly and steadfastly support good connection.
Moon enters Taurus 11:05 AM MST, Moon square Mars 2:26 PM, Moon square Pluto 5:06 PM, Moon squares Sun 9:47 PM.
Monday, January 26: Neptune enters Aries and asks us what is truly revolutionary; how can we bravely find a healthy and peaceful way through the changes. Think Ferdinand the Bull, hold ground firmly and with kindness, offer steadiness, and appreciate what flowers the world has to offer. Breathe through some irritation or nerves as the Moon squares Mercury and Venus this morning. Keep an eye on the headlines midday. Find good news to share tonight, even if it’s a search, as the Taurus Moon sextiles expansive Jupiter.
Moon square Mercury 3:49 AM MST, Moon square Venus 6:30 AM, Neptune enters Aries 10:37 AM, Moon sextile Jupiter 5:40 PM.
Tuesday, January 27: This could be a turning point, but into which direction is up to us. The verbal Gemini Moon could also bring a clash of ideals, a clash of ungrounded philosophies as Mars conjuncts Pluto. Keep talking, search for islands of objective facts if ideals clash. Violence can erupt once sparked, so keep a cool hand; Take on a pragmatic challenge and put this Combustible energy to good use to keep it out of trouble. Watch for mechanical issues, breakdowns, confrontations, or a potential breakthrough turning point. Invoke positive Mars through real connection, substantial action, and even heroism. Safer any satisfaction from a job well done tonight as the moon trines Mars and Pluto.
Moon conjunct Uranus 9:42 AM MST, Moon sextile Saturn 10:57 AM, Moon enters Gemini 1:54 PM, Moon sextile Neptune 1:57 PM, Mars conjuncts Pluto 4:01 PM, Moon trine Pluto 7:51 PM, Moon trine Mars 8:04 PM.
Wednesday, January 28: If there was a breakthrough yesterday, run with it now. Put it into motion. If there was a confrontation, keep real dialogue alive and engage potential win-win negotiations. That willful Mars-Pluto torque is still strong, but the mood is more open. Look through potential breakthroughs and reconnections this afternoon, particularly around food, nurturance, and home territory As Venus, the moon, and mercury all sextile the planetoid Ceres.
Moon trine Sun 4:06 AM MST, Moon trine Mercury 1:01 PM, Moon trine Venus 1:32 PM, Venus, Moon, and Mercury all sextile Ceres 2-7 pm.
Thursday, January 29: People need to feel safer, so let them know you are there; offer reassurance and witness. People want to know who’s got their back and what feeds them in all the ways as the Moon enters sensitive Cancer and Mercury conjuncts Venus. We can speak from the heart, whether as our heart’s defense or in true caring: emotions and thoughts lace together. We can feel pain when words clash or words and actions run on skew lines. Whereas poetry furthers: poetic expression can inspire real eloquence of the heart and land in the heart of others.
Mercury conjunct Venus 3:16 AM, Moon square Saturn 12:56 PM, Moon enters Cancer 3:31 PM, Moon square Neptune 3:39 PM.
