Starcodes for the week of February 13-19, 2026
This busy week holds Saturn’s entrance into Aries on Friday the 13th, Valentine’s Day, and a Solar eclipse on Tuesday morning which triggers the Chinese New Year and inaugurates the year of the Fire Horse. As Saturn enters Aries for the next 2.5 years (it dipped in last summer) it can feed some ongoing storms or conflicts as well as spark healthy new initiatives. This week could be hot stuff, let’s value and activate what brings love and dynamic stability into our lives.
Mental Mercury is now in dreamy and perceptive Pisces, it turns retrograde from February 26 to March 20, and our thinking may be already slowing down, though history is moving forward like a freight train. A freight train with a fuzzy driver. Start now to tidy up for the retrograde cycle, get letters sent, details hammered out but flexible, reservations made, keep receipts and stay on top of changes. Make it a habit to think through consequences, consider sudden impulses, and put 5 second leads on tempers.
We may feel moody as the weekend begins, aware of a broken dream, disappointment, or loss, whether an impending one or one that resonates in our memories, as Venus semi-sextiles Pluto. We’ll feel better when we make some practical improvements or achieve a short-term goal while the Moon is in Capricorn and Saturn enters Aries. Keep eyes open for hints in the headlines about this next chapter as Saturn, the planet we associate with both personal and public authority, structure, rules, walls, bones and teeth, the structures upon which we build our lives, begins a new cycle through the signs. Over the next two years Saturn pushes us to do the work around systems of oppression, authority, rebellion, and leadership.
Saturday is Valentine’s Day, let this Valentine’s be a love offering to our world under the collegial waning Moon in Aquarius. Reminisce over good memories together, but keep expectations reasonable for now, this is more a group dynamic weekend than romantic, so engage gatherings, parties, protests. The world may need our heart on Valentine’s Day, but if we want a really romantic time, consider waiting until the sensitive Pisces Moon midweek for a more personal celebration.
Early next week could bring a stroke of genius or just extra anxiety as Mercury quintiles Uranus and trines Jupiter. Look for some potentially good news or an auspicious change of mind. Make last overtures before Mercury turns retrograde.
Next Tuesday brings an early morning New Moon in Aquarius/ solar eclipse visible only in the southern hemisphere, but which marks the Chinese New Year. We now leave the year of the secretive Wood Snake and enter the year of the Fire Horse, As the symbol suggests, this year is expected to bring characterized by intense and passionate energy, radical change, add a thirst for independence, just as Saturn and Neptune approach a conjunction in Aries and demand the same thing. The last year of the fire horse was 1966. The Sun was spiking solar flares then as it is now.
Eclipses act like astrological acupuncture and can unblock block energy, a pattern that can resonate for the next few months. This Aquarian eclipse points out what’s blocked in our body politic, how do we relate to our community to our people to our country, and what needs to be released for us to move forward.
The Moon enters Pisces later on Tuesday, leaving us all up in our feelings just as some clouds clear from our eyes. This may not feel good but is a first step. The Moon enters Aries and conjuncts Saturn and Neptune on Thursday. We’ll want to get the party started, but we need to make sure we can see where we’re going.

Friday, February 13: Calm any paraskevidekatriaphobia, fear of Friday the 13th, and make the most of the day. Listen to each other’s dreams and brainstorm ideas this morning as the Moon sextiles Mercury; our imagination is strong and prone to suggestions, so let’s plant good ones. The Moon in Capricorn can make us want to control the circumstances later in the day. Check the news for auspices around Saturn’s entrance into Aries, it can trigger power struggles, though what we need is control over our own lives. Tonight, release tension though rein in excesses; help people come back to their own and rebuild resilience as the Moon opposes Jupiter.
Moon sextile Mercury 11:17 AM, Saturn enters Aries 5:11 PM, Moon opposed Jupiter 8:27 PM.
Saturday, February 14: This Valentine’s Day we can love the theory of love, love our community, but it could be hard to just sit and be emotionally present to our dear ones. People may just refuse to play the role we assign them or miss their cues. Enjoy the concrete solutions of the competent Capricorn Moon and work on a home project or domestic policy with one another. Or engage in the collective Aquarian Sun aspects of this holiday and dance with community, join an event which shares love with the world. Honor primary relationships but consider postponing romantic dinners until after Tuesday’s eclipse.
Moon trine Uranus 6:31 PM MST, Moon enters Aquarius 11:16 PM, Moon sextile Saturn 11:32 PM.
Sunday, February 15: We can feel out of it, spacey, distracted with haunting undertones, aware of loss or what causes us to feel alone as the Aquarius Moon conjuncts Pluto this morning. Contemplate the changes in work, publishing, politics; the world is shifting and we can feel it acutely without being able to see what is down this river. Know that other people may also be feeling alone and could really appreciate a hand extended. Connect in the depths and share the love.
Moon sextile Neptune 12:21 AM MST, Moon conjunct Pluto 7:09 AM.
Monday, February 16: Notice a certain wacky brilliance and opportunity to think outside of the box as Mercury quintiles Uranus and trines Jupiter. But we could also feel chafed, harassed by difficult circumstances where we felt confined or oppressed with systems that just aren’t making sense. Look for liberating information or conversations, let the mind wander, and take a circuitous but ingenious approach to problem solving. Clear the air with beloveds and make important contacts before tomorrow morning’s eclipse. The less precarious our understanding is, the easier tomorrow will be.
Moon conjunct Mars 11:09 AM MST, Mercury quintile Uranus 7:56 AM, Mercury trine Jupiter 2:31 PM.
Tuesday, February17: This morning’s Aquarius new Moon, annular solar eclipse at 5:05 AM MST can cause a sudden shift; water thawing, information flowing, a shift in the ice. Where the energy is flowing, we probably won’t feel a thing, but hubris and energetic blocks can break open. The Moon then enters sensitive Pisces, and it’s time to catch up with any emotional backlog, so be there for one another in a healthy way. Anybody who takes advantage of this vulnerability and twists the knife will most likely be cut out, eclipsed, in the future.
Moon square Uranus 2:39 AM MST, Sun Moon conjunct, Sun eclipsed 5:05 AM, Moon enters Pisces 7:08 AM.
Wednesday, February 18: Our hearts can grow tender, even maudlin, as the Pisces Moon conjuncts Venus and trines Jupiter. It’s a good day to celebrate a more personal and cuddly Valentines dinner – just keep it spontaneous or informal and be careful around expectations. It will not do to ignore dear ones, we need appreciation, someone saying “I see you and the effort you’re putting into life.” We may be called on to donate money or help a friend; let’s not enable bad behavior but support those who need it, this generosity will be karmically returned. If we stumble over our words late afternoon as the Moon opposes Mercury, don’t scramble; instead, slow down and listen to what the heart really needs to say.
Moon conjunct Venus 1:01 AM MST, Moon trine Jupiter 11:30 AM, Moon opposed Mercury 4:08 PM.
Thursday, February 19: Keep eyes open because things happen fast as the Moon enters Aries around noon and conjuncts Saturn and Neptune soon after. Don’t run fast into a wall but do engage this momentum; take a moment to visualize the next steps but take a deep breath and make sure to be proactive not reactive, even if hitting a frustrating patch mid-afternoon. Watch for political or personal explosions or declarations of intent later on, it will have enduring effects.
Moon sextile Uranus 8:22 AM, Moon enters Aries 12:38 PM, Moon conjunct Saturn 1:47 PM, Moon conjunct Neptune 1:54 PM, Moon sextile Pluto 8:08 PM.
