Starcodes for the week of February 27 – March 5, 2026
Most of us will be fine, but the headlines could be dramatic. Prepare to slog through logistical snafus, strange events, or maybe just edgy nerves this week, set off as Mercury retrogrades, Mars squares Uranus, and the Moon is eclipsed Tuesday at 4:37 AM, MST at 12 degrees Virgo-Pisces. Play it dynamically safe.
To soften it a bit – as the weekend beings, retrograde Mercury runs next to Venus in intuitive, sensitivity-inducing Pisces, where it encourages us to slow down and review our life. Speak kindly, poetically. Kick in basic Mercury retrograde skills: confirm appointments, have a plan B, drive defensively, and check the weather. But things will still get exciting, as we’re right in the middle of an action-packed, distracting, tumultuous square between militant Mars and electrifying Uranus. This aspect can give us energy or blow us out of a rut, but could also instigate accidents, explosions, mechanical or electrical tangles, fires, flashes of anger, downed power lines, and generally make life interesting.
To use this week’s astrologically turbulent energy, with kindly overtones, for good, we need to stay centered, connect from the heart, and work through misunderstandings with patience. Prioritize safety and compassion first and foremost, then use this restlessness to break through a block. Work on ongoing projects or short-term agendas now, and deal with any old karmic boomerangs which arise. Hold off launching new long-term goals until after spring begins.
The full Moon, lunar eclipse early next week can create a shift, whether that’s a good shift or a break- will be up to us. We may need to cover our behinds and protect ourselves from a backlash. Expect some karmic boomerangs, they won’t all be negative; what we’ve put into the world now returns. Some gift can come back to smooth our way, an effort now rewarded, as well as being held responsible for some faux pas or karmic misstep.
Give people positive feedback in that karmic loop. Thank them for what they’ve done, reward people for connection, give a “good dog” to anybody who deserves it. We could all use some encouragement.

Friday, February 27: Luck and klutziness intertwine. This day is a mixed bag as retrograde Mercury serendipitously conjuncts affectionate Venus and the Moon conjuncts expansive Jupiter which can bring odd luck, while we wrestle with some real potential explosiveness, tempers, mechanical problems, and an accident-prone quality as Mars squares Uranus with Mercury stationary. The domestic Cancer Moon encourages coziness and family-feeling but also heightens defensive protectiveness of both people and countries. Tonight, the cozy-loving Cancer Moon trines Venus and kind words, comfort, good food, and true empathy can work wonders for some real healing, particularly around family, home, and homelands.
Moon conjunct Jupiter 12:10 AM MST, Mars square Uranus 9:20 AM, Moon trine Venus 10:58 AM, Moon trine Mercury 12:12 PM, Moon sextile Uranus 9:21 PM, Mercury conjunct Venus 10:34 PM.
Saturday, February 28: Check the news and family stories. This is an event-filled time, and we may feel like dramatizing our story in order to explain how much we’re feeling but could actually be resonating with world events in the best and worst of ways as the Moon enters Leo, trines Saturn and Neptune, then opposes Pluto. Afternoon and evening are calmer and give us a chance to clear, clean, repair, enjoy and share.
Moon enters Leo 1:16 AM MST, Moon trine Neptune 3:01 AM, Moon trine Saturn 4:07 AM, Moon opposed Pluto 9 3:00 AM.
Sunday, March 1: On this strangely disjointed and emotional day, we can either focus consciously or let our attention wander as the Leo Moon makes no major aspects. Use this time to catch up with what makes life comfortable, catch up on friends’ stories, and listen to the history of the world unfolding. Tension arises when we try to push. If we feel an ambient anxiety or excitement, it’s probably the world’s heartbeat; let’s not read our personal journey into it, though this buzz may be triggered by events in our life.
No major aspects.
Monday, March 2: The Moon and Mars oppose each other, the Moon enters Virgo and Mars enters Pisces- all before breakfast. Our scanners turn inwards towards a sensitive introspection, nervousness, or fresh vulnerabilities with Mars in Pisces. It’s important to stay responsible for our own happiness; don’t get brittle, avoid the blame game unless it’s to protect real victims, though protecting the truly vulnerable could suddenly become urgent. Tend to personal health and boundaries, as we may feel permeable to germs and vibes. Support people doing their own personal work. Pay attention to issues around bodies of water and water flowing where it shouldn’t ought to be.
Moon square Uranus 1:35 AM MST, Moon opposed Mars 5:27 AM EST, Moon enters Virgo 5:33 AM, Mars enters Pisces 7:15 AM.
Tuesday, March 3: The full Virgo Moon/lunar eclipse at 4:37 AM MST asks us what habit, person, object, or illusion we need to clean and clear out of our lives. What clutter can we release, what critique or self-critique needs to be composted so that we can create room for healthy growth in the future. Look at this politically- and hold Minneapolis in your heart- as this Eclipse is on the city’s solar return. But do not throw the baby out with the bathwater, make sure what’s released is specific and not over-generalized, edit don’t discard.
Be willing to put in detailed work, Virgo, into our Piscean dreams to manifest. Prepare the garden, don’t just dream over the seed catalog; take this as a working metaphor. Avoid people who lash out with petty criticism to relieve their own anxiety. If running extra nerves today, step past surface irritation; look underneat. nxiety for what actually creates fertile safety. Take care of the guts and engage true Virgoan empathy.
Moon opposes the Sun/ Lunar eclipse at 4:37 AM MST, Moon sextile Jupiter 8:45 AM, Moon opposed Mercury 5:38 PM.
Wednesday, March 4: This is a conflict-avoidant recovery day, we can feel the slings and arrows of life acutely, so go gently with one another. Notice a potential turning point as the friendly Libra Moon and Venus oppose each other, but both form easy aspects to Uranus. Be on each other’s side rather than push, save that for another day. Be kind to a longing heart, our loneliness can be existential but feels personal. Explore fresh aesthetics, make the world feel more beautiful, and consider a radical act of compassion.
Moon opposes Venus 7:41 AM MST, Moon trine Uranus 7:52 AM, Venus sextile Uranus 9:40 AM, Moon enters Libra 11:55 AM, Moon opposes Neptune 2:07 PM, Moon opposes Saturn 4:00 PM, Moon trine Pluto 8:34 PM.
Thursday, March 5: An optimistic light beams in as the Sun trines Jupiter, a hint of or longing for better days ahead. Be wary of overdoing positivity, don’t be bamboozled; keep critical thinking intact but do look for an expanding horizon. See potential in people around the grinding grit of life. Be generous without being enabling, enjoy a freedom or a loosening of restraints, but don’t overspend; keep everything in a healthy proportion. Be the example of a much-needed generous spirit and good will is returned. Work with the power of fairness and justice to rebalance the world.
Sun trine Jupiter 10:13 AM MST, Moon square Jupiter 4:22 PM EST.
