Someone once said that people who use statistics to make arguments use numbers the way a drunk uses a streetlight: not for illumination but for support.
Maybe but new research from Japan and London suggest fathers play a far more important role in a child’s upbringing than realized before. The survey, carried out in over 13 nations, claimed that the damage from an absent father can be lifelong.
Professor Rohner’s studies, for over 50 years, proved theories claimed by doctors after two world wars decimated the males in the lives of so many families, that loss or rejection to a child is felt by the brain as physical pain.
The new studies emphasize the powers of rejection and acceptance of a father’s love and go much further than Prof Rohner.
The documents, including over 10,000 subjects, confirm it is fashionable to say two mothers or two fathers can do the same job as a real mother and father, but the studies show the children of these unions grow up confused and have themselves often very difficult future emotional lives, and the indoctrination these children receive either intentional or otherwise does color their subconscious.
The ability to form trusting and loving relationships is more difficult with same sex partnerships, or a missing father.
The term missing father can be physical, or more often than not, emotionally absent.
The US feminine psychologists say not all men can love; some men see sex as love, and do not have the depth or range most women need, children need nurturing from both parents, in the past over centuries men have been bred just for fighting wars, but men must find within them their responsibility nurturing and caring sides.
The military squashes out all of the finer emotions, which is why military marriages so often fail, and often incorporate violent episodes.
After WW2 in Britain when American servicemen went home, a plethora of abandoned fatherless children grew up and the world famous Maudsley Psychiatric hospital found a lot of later-life depression, mental fatigue, and crime followed those interviewed.
Women were affected more than the men with absent fathers, the latest figures show almost 50% of marriages will fail, but many couples stay together in stale marriages because they can’t afford to live separately, or many stay just for the children.

Marriage is not easy, it takes daily attention, you cant get out what you dont put in, and psychologists now say there are 9 different types of love.
As a long-term counselor and palmist, I see so many women who lacked a father in their formative years and its knock-on effects.
In his famous book Dante’s Inferno, the author describes the 7 levels of soul, those from our own level we just feel so at home with, and earlier schools of palmistry took this into consideration, with its 7 categories, we also have the rule of Mind Body and Spirit.
The 3 sections to the fingers from the tip are Spirit Mind and Body – these tell us in what sphere the person operates.
Today most people are ignorant of who they are spiritually, and the baser finger phalanges are thick, so they exist in the physical domain with physical appetites.
The bible tells us we live on average 3 score years and ten, 70 years, but the life of the soul is eternal, each lifetime is as the blinking of an eye.
In Tibet they say each lifetime is as a day in school, you get bad school days and you get good ones, but that’s all your life is, a day at school, and you get your marks by how well you do.
The handprint shows:
(1) Thick and solid Jupiter or first finger
(2) Slightly bent emotional or Apollo finger
(3) A short slightly bent Mercury finger leaning away.
(4) Many lines Under Mercury
(5) A stunted Fate or destiny line.
(2) When the third or Apollo finger is curved with an extra line in the central phalange, the one which deals with mind and the mental, it shows a wound from way back which hinders or holds back the natural flow.
(3) Mercury is the communicator, when it is short slightly curved very thin short and low set, we see damage from the Latency period, that is up to age 6 which would make the person bottle up stress, release in any way would be difficult for her.
(4) The lines under Mercury finger on the mount itself, are said for centuries back to refer to marriages, but people don’t get married today, they are relationship lines, not always physical but usually emotional connections, not particularly reliable if seen on their own and must be viewed in the whole hand.
(5) The destiny line is halted at the head line junction, so we know an intellectual decision will change the course of her destiny, this time period is also shown as a break in the lifeline, this with the absence of an Apollo line, so we see at age 30 she makes big life changes, this girl has changed her love life many times, but this change is big, as the destiny line hits there is almost an explosion in her life, The absence of the Apollo line shows long term it’s not a good move, the clashes on the health line at the same juncture show this move will affect her health adversely.
The strong thick unbending thumb is a sign of a stubborn mentality, someone who likes their own way, and thinks they are always right, and she is always afraid to let anyone help take the reins on her life journey.
The heartline is straight short and flat, I begged her to reconsider, and not be so hasty.
It should be said that every woman judges men by that first man in her life, the father figure, and if he is remote or absent that will color the men she is attracted to – often chasing unwilling or uncaring men, as that was her father’s imprint.
My advice that it was not really the fault of all the men in her life, but the ones she chose. She was aged 29 and experiencing her Saturn Return to her birthplace in her chart and was about to cross the world to marry a man she had never physically met, but said this man was her soul mate she just knew it.
The greatest thing a man can have in life is the love of a good woman, and some men will lie and cheat to get it, i felt she should slow down as this would be another mistake.
I hope this sunk in a little, you can take a horse to water but you can’t make it drink.
