Starcodes for the week of August 14-20, 2026

Expect wild storylines this week, whether through great Shakespeare in the park or from deeply Shakespearean dramas in our wildfires, our romance, and on the international scene, as Mercury conjuncts Jupiter in expansive, expressive Leo, and Mars squares Neptune. Don’t get hooked on the story’s details; enjoy the real theater but keep an eye on the ongoing international tragedies. If the wild story unfolds in our personal life, it furthers to step back and observe the bigger patterns, the underlying and systemic patterns, then work the story in a good direction.

Venus now in Libra adds appreciation for life’s grace notes and for people who hold encouraging, positive visions. Mars, our planet of motivation and boundaries, is now in sensitive Cancer and while it encourages good work at home, it can bring a defensive genius around our tender soft spots. On Monday, Mars challenges and squares intuitive, confusing Neptune, which can melt old anger and offer an opportunity for a truce, but also leaves us confused, uncertain, or with a tendency to get mad about some story we have projected on others. We can also get really ticked off around those who seem intentionally vague or who try to bamboozle or gaslight us.

On Friday and Saturday, a prickly, thoughtful Virgo Moon helps us get things done that need doing, just watch a cranky influence when we think we’re just being helpful. Our health may be a bit more sensitive than usual to smoke, pollutants, or a wound-up nervous system. The Libra Moon on late Saturday through Monday can add sociable graciousness, romantic warmth, and panache to that Shakespeare in the park. Create pleasant moments and let them refill the wells. But notice, underneath, a deeper ongoing conversation around what is truly fair and equitable.

Monday is an astrologically busy time, Mars squares Neptune and softens our prickly spines, Mercury trines Saturn and asks us to make sense and be the grownup in the room, and Venus sextiles Jupiter, which helps our heart stay open but can amp up our expectations in relationships.

On Monday night through Wednesday a Scorpio Moon sharpens our focus and our edges; give people room to have real conversations, or back off and let them be. Look for signs of stubborn retribution. Our unconscious material might be squirming in the shadows, people will probably not own those underground motivations, so deal with the behavior rather than expect them to become aware. We might feel willful, but trying to push people around will only backfire. The week ends on a more upbeat Sagittarius Moon that encourages exploration, but we have to choose to look deeper than quick answers.

Friday, August 14: Tell a good story but watch the hyperbole as verbal Mercury approaches expansive Jupiter in Leo; take turns shining in the spotlight. Watch for people who say too much and let their egos get in the way. Underneath this potential exuberance is a need to get things done as the Virgo Moon nags us about unfinished business. Emotional sensitivity could reflect in our body’s discomfort, particularly in digestive issues, as Chiron sextiles Ceres; we need soothing, not advice, from others. This evening, encourage expansive, intelligent and open-hearted interactions.

Chiron sextile Ceres 12:01 PM MDT, no other exact aspect

Saturday, August 15: We’ll feel like avoiding confrontations this morning. A lovely Libra Moon-Venus conjunction, visible just after sunset, can warm our hearts all day and encourage the search for fairness, peace, balance with all be, and balancecury conjuncts Jupiter and encourages us to see the bigger picture. It’s a nice dream. If a disagreement occurs it might be more likely this afternoon as the Moon adds spice while it aspects Pluto, Neptune, Uranus; take an egalitarian, win-win approach for a solution. If relationships bring both the best and most challenging, try to deal with one issue at a time, complete one project at a time.

Mercury conjunct Jupiter 5:22 AM MDT, Moon enters Libra 8:19 AM, Moon square Mars 1:36 PM, Moon trine Pluto 3:12 PM, Moon opposed Neptune 3:32 PM, Moon trine Uranus 6:03 PM.

Sunday, August 16: It could be an energetically busy morning followed by a steady, relaxed vibe as the Libra Moon conjuncts Venus and aspects Jupiter, Mercury, and Saturn all before 11 AM MDT, then quiets down. Make plans, get organized, just don’t be naggy about it. Then let the afternoon drift at its own speed; it’ll be harder to keep the mind on task. Patterns that begin this morning, now need time to unfold. Tonight, check in on friends and family just see how they’re doing; we’ll want to feel connected but not crowded.

Moon conjunct Venus 1:10 AM MDT, Moon sextile Jupiter 3:02 AM, Moon sextile Mercury 6:19 AM, Moon opposed Saturn 10:27 AM.

Monday, August 17: Morning can be fairly upbeat and aware for a Monday, a good morning to plan ahead, have some good conversations, connect with people and get the week mapped out. Thoughtful Mercury trines structural Saturn and adds maturity and competence to decisions already made– if we can remember what we’re doing and why. But as Mars squares Neptune, we can soften some ongoing argument but also lose track of where we’re heading. Choose to let go of a resentment. Notice irritation where other people are too vague and forgive them, it’s hard to stay on point this afternoon. Our mood and focus sharpen tonight as the Moon enters Scorpio and squares Pluto. Be wary around a possessive or jealous streak, or a sudden fleeting discouragement. Instead go spelunking in the soul, reach deep and touch the strength within.

Mars square Neptune 3:52 AM MDT, Moon sextile Sun 5:30 AM, Mercury trine Saturn 9:26 AM, Venus sextile Jupiter 10:15 AM, Moon enters Scorpio 3:45 PM, Moon square Pluto 11:01 PM.

Tuesday August 18: This could be a difficult day around group dynamics as the nodes back into Aquarius- Leo under a deep Scorpio Moon. People are going to do what they’re going to do, find a healthy balance between individual schedules and group decisions. Everyone needs a private corner and a moment without compromise under the broody Scorpio Moon. If people try to manipulate or control the situation under stress, listen for the problem underneath, but sidestep rather than confront for the moment. It furthers to do some research on long range plans; new information is percolating towards the surface.

Moon trine Mars 12:29 AM MDT, Moon square Jupiter 12:43 PM, the nodes enter Aquarius and Leo.

Wednesday, August 19: A focused and moody Scorpio Moon keeps us thoughtful, supports deep discussions and moments alone, but could also bring surprising stubbornness. We may just feel thoughtful, but this Moon can bring our eyes to the world’s collisions, to the big ongoing issues of our time. Watch for a desire for retribution. Venus approaches an opposition to Saturn and can make loving connection feel like work, but that can work in many ways. We may feel a little less light and flowing, but work can be a love language; we appreciate efforts expended on our shared existence. Find out what is needed and do nice things for one another. Good relationship skills further; work on them.

Moon square Mercury 2:06 AM MDT, Moon square Sun 8:46 PM.

Thursday, August 20: Shift away from heavy emotional lifting, notice anything that feels like a trap and gently create more space. We need to take care of ourselves, and it might help to temporarily engage a more lighthearted, travel-oriented approach, get outside, and enjoy the summer under this peripatetic Sagittarius Moon. Laughter and an ability to listen to another person’s reality without defense can help unstick some situation that felt stuck. Share opinions and brainstorm good ideas, just be humble about who has the right one.

Moon enters Sagittarius 2:29 AM, Moon sextile Pluto 9:58 AM, Moon trine Neptune 10:21 AM, Moon opposed Uranus 1:32 PM.
