Starcodes for the week of September 25 – October 1, 2026

Whether we’re in academics or the school of hard knocks we get a glimpse of the new semester this week. The Sun in Libra forms a grand trine with Pluto in Aquarius and Uranus in Gemini while opposing Neptune in Aries. This grand trine pattern got stirred by Venus and Mercury when they passed through the early degrees of Libra over the last few weeks, and now the Sun hits this point in early Libra and brings more information along with a call to action.

Expect both excitement about the future and also potentially some tough lessons – about what’s been recently said and who has a right to be heard – as Mercury opposes healing Chiron and both approach a square with motivating Mars. Look for the consequences of recent nasty comments at the UN and argument over the White House press corps.

Let’s straighten out what we can in our own lives before Mercury enters Scorpio on Wednesday and squares Mars. Work on lines of communication, update websites, check the communications hardware. Venus is already in Scorpio. Mercury in Scorpio loves to concentrate and take us deep, but it tends to play cards close to the chest and brings consequence home to roost. It plays chess well but does not necessarily encourage negotiation. Watch where the mind wanders.

But first, on Friday we get glimpses of fresh air but may feel overloaded with the amount of change transforming our world underneath a sensitive Moon in Pisces. Take a moment out to recharge and hang in there. The Moon waxes full in active, brave, rebellious Aries over the weekend and can help us take on the challenges of reorganizing our world.

This wild full Aries Moon highlights both our need for connection and our need for independence, our need for peace versus our need for conflict. It asks how we support our beloved relationships and simultaneously follow our own light. Enjoy the ride.

Mars enters Leo on Sunday night – which can help us reach new friends but can also bring out the bully in the ego and the ego in the bully. Step into the generosity and self-expression of Mars in Leo but watch the tendency to perform life versus living in authenticity. Find healthy uses of Mars get past issues like the debate the testosterone level in our military or the performative nature of a Department of War, such shallow uses of Mars. Mars wants to know what we’re doing with our own inner machismo, our standing army, our ability to help one another and protect the vulnerable, our healthy boundaries and our immune system. Over this week and into next, Mars approaches an opposition to Pluto, square to Venus and Mercury. While this can give us energy, it can also bring tensions and inflammations to a boil.

Midweek grows more serious and focused as Mercury enters private Scorpio and brings out the sullen, pointed edges of our thoughts, but also helps us concentrate. Watch for acts of retribution and lean into the Scorpio gift of competence, depth, and focus.

Friday, September 25: It could feel a bit scary under a sensitive Pisces Moon. We can feel the world’s grit painfully present as the Sun trines Pluto and opposes Neptune and reminds us that things could always be worse, so let’s search for beauty and gratitude and treat life as precious. With that Neptune opposition we may crave an escapist moment away from the grit so we can catch our psychic breath, let our sensitivities adapt, and remember spirit. If our sensitivities feel overloaded, let’s both take care of those sensitive nerve endings and dream about a better world. Make it a healthy escape.

Sun opposes Neptune 7:35 PM MDT, Sun trine Pluto 11:34 PM.

Saturday, September 26: Check in with each other about this morning’s dreams, we can get a download overnight as the sensitive Pisces Moon trines Mars. Then prepare for an active, willful day as the Moon enters Aries, conjuncts intuitive and magical Neptune, and waxes full at 10:48 AM MDT. Our inner adolescent asks where we want to rebel or what we want to make happen. Don’t interrupt other people’s flow or try to tell them what to do, that way lies a fight. Negotiate tension between a personal need for connection and our feisty independence; find a balance between. Work with that restless creative energy carefully. Spontaneous moments revive us this afternoon as the Moon sextiles Uranus; listen to a sudden calling and go off script. Find a healthy way to howl with the Moon tonight.

Moon trine Mars 2:31 AM MDT, Moon enters Aries 4:22 AM, Moon conjunct Neptune 9:40 AM, Moon sextile Pluto 9:59 AM, Moon opposed the Sun 10:48 AM, Moon sextile Uranus 2:17 PM.

Sunday, September 27: Life knocks on the door and demands we be, not old, but an adult, as the Moon conjunct Saturn this morning. Through the day we need carefully to access our Mars, find where we can truly say yes, and set clear but non-hostile boundaries which make that yes possible and as Mars squares Chiron and enters expressive Leo. Then make room for the same process in others. Let’s not expect others to guess what we need or feel, listen carefully to the soul’s needs then advocate for it and create room for others to do the same. There’s room for everybody’s self-expression, but we have to both tap into our source and also get over ourselves to make it so.

Moon conjunct Saturn 1:19 AM, Mars square Chiron 5:58 AM, Moon trine Jupiter 1:45 PM, Mars enters Leo 8:48 PM.

Monday, September 28: If we are ready to take a leap, leave an impossible situation or launch a website, this is a good day to do so. If we are trying to stay in a difficult job, let’s be extra good to ourselves so we stay in there rather than walk out at lunch and not return; make every move proactive and well-considered. Even though the mood calms as the Moon enters grounded Taurus, we have an opportunity to install changes we’ve recently dreamed, whether a small personal one or a big political one, as the Sun trines Uranus. This evening can bring both cuddly comfort and a moment of social awkwardness, even though the Sun and Moon are in Venus-ruled signs, as the Moon opposes Venus. Be gently supportive and let each person’s timing unfold at their own rate.

Moon enters Taurus 8:39 AM, Moon squares Mars 9:10 AM, Sun trine Uranus 10:28 AM, Moon trine Pluto 2:01 PM, Moon opposed Venus 10:35 PM.

Tuesday, September 29: Watch the flow of communication as Mercury opposes Chiron, some old misunderstanding or obfuscation, or tendency to misrepresent, could initiate or exacerbate a tussle of wills which unfolds over the next week. Any efforts to manipulate, even with kindness, will tend to backfire. If we sense any tension, let’s stop and reconnect, make sure everyone is on the same page and take any opportunity to heal the past if an old issue resurfaces. Look to comfort and security, offer reassurance as long as it is honest.

Moon squares Jupiter 5:35 PM, Mercury opposes Chiron 9:14 PM.

Wednesday, September 30: Paradoxically we can be both more talkative and experimental but reveal less as the Moon enters verbal Gemini and conjuncts Uranus, adding a buzz, opening our mind and winding up our nerves, while Mercury enters secretive, private Scorpio. Scorpio gives us the concentration to get real and go deep, the Gemini gives us the room to talk about it, but we can have trouble getting these two sets to work together. Pay attention to both verbal and nonverbal cues.

Mercury enters Scorpio 5:44 AM, Moon enters Gemini 11 25 AM, Moon sextiles Mars 2:06 PM, Moon sextile Neptune 4:14 PM, Moon trine Pluto 4:40 PM, Moon conjunct Uranus 8:42 PM.

Thursday, October 1: Both positive aspects and challenging ones run through the day. Doorways can open as the versatile Gemini Moon trines the Sun, sextiles Saturn and Jupiter. Don’t be sidetracked by small snafus, keep the little things out of the way and work on big things. Step away from an argument that does not feel productive. A big tussle or challenge could be building up in the background as Mars approached an opposition to Pluto. Take advantage of opportunities but hold hands and play it safe.

Moon trine Sun 1:05 AM, Moon sextile Saturn 6:48 AM, Moon sextile Jupiter 8:40 PM.
