“Metis was the ancient Greek goddess of wisdom,” said Dr. Newsom. “The company was named ‘Finding Metis’ because we believe that one’s psyche contains an innate wisdom that acts as a vanguard for healing. We offer a remarkable and sacred journey. The process serves to deepen consciousness and to positively change lives.”
About Finding Metris
Finding Metis is the premier concierge service in the country devoted to improving lives through its private, customized protocol for the intramuscular administration of the legal entheogen, ketamine. This treatment approach offers help for those suffering from depression, PTSD, OCD, dysphoria, anxiety, and suicidality. Finding Metis, named after the Greek goddess of wisdom, is a safe, legal, novel, and effective approach to healing.
After a thorough vetting process, Dr. Newsom walks the client through each step of the experience, and post-experience follow-up. Patients receive three to six customized dosages in a one to two-week period. Ketamine is a dissociative anesthetic agent normally lasting 45 minutes to one hour. After an injection one typically has the rapid onset of a relaxed sense of separation from the body and an alteration of consciousness but not a loss of awareness. During an extended close follow-up period, determination is made about best long-term options. Psychotherapy is arranged as indicated.
