A new community based farmer’s and artisan market, Riverplace Market — operating from 3-7 p.m. on Wednesdays through the end of September, is located on the cobblestone courtyard of Riverplace, on the beautiful historic Mississippi riverfront. Situated just across the bridge from bustling downtown Minneapolis, Riverplace Market is in a prime location at Hennepin and Main Street.
The market, a rain or shine event, is another integral part of the urban/farm linkage that has continued to rise in popularity, mostly due to the growing consumer interest in obtaining fresh products directly from the farm. Riverplace Market allows consumers to have access to locally grown, farm fresh produce and products made by Minnesota makers.
“We have a nice selection of vendors at the market,” said Mary Waldrop, regional asset manager with Sentinel Property Management Corp. “Customers can expect to find farm fresh produce, baked goods, flowers, sauces and spices, honey, nuts and products from local artisans as well as food trucks each week.”
New artisans and food producers are welcome to apply to participate in the market. Limited single spaces are still available for select weeks. Contact Stephanie Hansen at 651.983.4766 or by email at [email protected] for the latest availability.
