Over the Hump by Kate Mura of Group Tarot
A space for tarot reflection for the day, week, or moment it comes across your screen. Each of these is reworked intentionally for The Edge, from the egregore of GroupTarot’s Card of the Week, to center education, diversity, and intuition.

Hello dear readers!
How are you liking the new name, Over the Hump?

Yesterday was Giving Tuesday.
As you may remember, New Moon Group Tarot events benefited different b.e.s.t. organizations (beautiful. equitable. sustainable. timely) and this past year money was held in a kitty to evenly disperse yesterday. I waited a few days after the final NMGT to allow for funds to trickle in from those only reading the brief summaries, allowing the donation pool to grow.
Black Resilience Fund, Open Signal, Planned Parenthood Columbia Willamette, https://zrzutka.pl/en/z5kzxj – supporting Black and Brown fleeing war in Ukraine, Seeding Sovereignty, Rosehip Medic Collective, Center for Rural Enterprise and Environmental Justice, Iinnii Iniative, Raw Tools, Rahabs Sisters, Food Not Bombs, and United Way for Waukesha WI all received a donation on our behalf.
Who did you support?
Of course, support comes in many energetic forms, not just financial. Let me know in the comments or email [email protected]
Today, I am bringing out a new to me deck.
Arwen gave it to me before I left New Mexico, but I held on to it, waiting to unwrap it from it’s bubble wrap on my birthday, which I did last week.
It is lovely to now have Divine Muses Oracle cards – the same artist, Maree Bento who created the Lua Tarot, which frequently appears here.
Today we are given
Unknown.
Ha!
We don’t always know *exactly* how our money and resources will be used. We can just do the best we can.
Also, the cards don’t always know all!
Who knows what this week will bring? It’s still being written! We’re still making decisions! Things may still change!
Plus, maybe now is not the time to “make a choice”. Maybe it’s time to wait, rest, hibernate, listen. (I use quotes because of course, choosing to not do anything is a choice.)
Depending on when this message comes across your path, it might also be a reminder that it’s OK to not know. It’s OK to just be with Mystery and Unknown, even if that is not a comfortable place for you to exist.
Sometimes it’s OK to be uncomfortable. Sometimes it’s not. You’re the expert on your nervous system.
We cannot know everything all the time. We cannot plan for every eventuality.
And that’s ok.
Rather than try to make out meanings in the movement of the fog, what would it be like to just release, like in a sensory deprivation tank, for a bit?
Eventually, things will become clear.
In fact, maybe you know the answer already and are looking for external validation that is not actually necessary.

“I do find the New Moon Group Tarot event to be ever-so-wonderful. Your energy, as perceived by me, is suffused with warmth/friendship/vitality. Amazingly this energy is perceived even when channeled by Zoom.” David Browning, regular participant.
Every month with the exact New Moon, Kate facilitates a New Moon Group Tarot reading.
In addition to shared community and seeing how your individual path aligns with the group’s, every month donations received are shared 50/50 with different b.e.s.t.* organizations. You will be invited to donate through Venmo or PayPal at completion of the session. All events are Live Captioned for Deaf/HOH. Register here
