Spirit Leaves: The Fourfold Psychic and Telepathic Journey

Every one of us has innate telepathic and psychic capabilities. We have held this knowledge since first incarnating as indigenous Earth People. Our openness prompted the quest for a deeper communion with nature. Somewhere in the thickness of tree stands, amid dank soil and fern beds, we have lost our way. We have forgotten how to access our inherent talents. As multidimensional beings, we must now journey back through the four parts of ourselves to recover our legacy.

MIND: To awaken and expand, we must reacquaint ourselves with our inborn talents. It is a false cultural myth that these abilities descend like manna onto the shoulders of a few “gifted” humans, while the rest of us slobs just slough along unaware. We can research and recognize the “four clairs”*: clairvoyance, clairsentience, clairaudience, and claircognizance. Sometimes just becoming aware of the modes through which beings receive information may open doors of perception.

SPIRIT: Once awakened, it is helpful to pray for good guidance. We can learn the names of our Spirit Helpers and Guides. If we cannot do this on our own, we can elicit the help of reliable psychics and mediums. Meanwhile, invoke the Beings of Enlightened Guides and Beings of White Light. That way, we can trust the integrity of any help that arrives.

From Dick Sutphen* I learned to ask my Guides to help me to open psychically and become a channel for the light. I let them know of my intention to radiate love and light in the world. Then I relax my logical mind and let the synchronicities flow into my life. I learned from The Red Feather Man* that our Guides and Helpers (Angels and Archangels, if you prefer) are with us all the time. They never leave our sides. All we need do is give them permission to help us. This is a very important step. Without it, they will follow their “prime directive” not to interfere with us and our growth.

EMOTIONS: All of the above would be mere mechanics without the substance — the part your heart contributes. Becoming more “psychic” involves opening the heart. Love is key to fostering and facilitating the psychic journey. When a person feels an affinity with all living Beings, channels of non-verbal communication open within many realms and in many directions. It helps to be clear about our motivation and intention in pursuing psychic growth. If the motive is to attain power or recognition, we will likely experience a brief career laden with roadblocks. If money is the sole motive, that will soon bring with it obstacles and a failure to connect with the clients we are purporting to serve.

BODY: To sharpen the senses, focus upon each one. For example, with the audial sense, listen intently and see how far the depth of field extends. What sound is the most distant? Become aware of your sense of smell. What scents are in the air? What information does that proffer? Next, attend to the body-mind. What does the body need? Is there pain anywhere? Are there places where energy is blocked? In order to keep your vessel open to receive, energy has to be flowing. Drink lots of water during the day. Water keeps energy flowing, writes one wise channeler.* Keep the cells oxygenated. Breathe deeply. Yoga helps immensely in releasing blocked areas and restoring balance to the body.

Psychic development requires a focused effort. Practice in everyday situations. Take time to sense the individual energy of others, including humans, plants, trees, and birds. Our minds and hearts have the ability to emanate loving, elevated energy toward all of Nature, and to transform negative situations instantly. Engage the psychic journey by knowing and understanding the self, and through living with conscious awareness and authenticity.

* Notes in order of occurrence: The Four Clairs is a concept I first encountered in the Angel books of Doreen Virtue. The Red Feather Man is Cedric Red Feather, Mandan Turtle Priest, one of my spiritual teachers. Dick Sutphen is a skilled psychic with instructional CDs filled with helpful meditations. Barbara Marciniak is an author and channeler whose writings helped me connect with the Pleiadians.
